This is such a wonderful song and I love the way Vince Gill sings it. God bless you for sharing it and God bless Vince Gill for his beautiful performance.
This is the best rendition of this song. It moves me every single time I hear it. I feel Vince Gill has an incredible voice. I love this song sung by him.
Truly beautiful! I love both versions (male and female version)....Vince Gill Has an amazing voice and can sing any song.....you always listen t is words. This song is amazing, thanks for sharing at this special time of year!
I have this song on a Christmas CD but had trouble understanding what he was singing until I found the words and listened. It's a beautiful song and Vince Gill does it justice.
I had never heard this song sung by a man so I ASSUMED it was "a women's song." I decided to listen to Vince Gill sing it. Both ways-women or man-are beautiful. If there were any vocal mistakes from my recorsing I didn't hear them. I was the ! who "butchered" some things. Thank you for "loading" this song PRAYERsOFoTHERS! . :)
Interesting: How Vince's version of what is thought of as a woman's only song is so well done: I think his rendition is so well done that it moves past these restrictions and boundaries to true art and true feeling of the subject: This is what the true artists do, and if we are open to what they offer, they take us with them!
For those complaining this is a 'woman's song,' please sit back and listen to the lyrics...they are a little different which gives Joseph's perspective.
@princessjenny01 If you listen there are two versions of this song, one is from the perspective of Mary(sung by his wife and singer Amy Grant). This one has different lyrics and is the perspective of Joesph her husband. In both they are pleading for GOD's strength and guidance in their journey,
@RaddicalOne I love both of them but if you listen this version is from Joseph's perspective while the one that Amy Grant sings is Mary's song, So I don't consider it a women's song.
@bobbybrock420 This version is from Joesph's point of view, Amy's is Mary;s. They are actually two different songs with the same theme asking for GOD's help and blessing.
Interesting version of the song. I prefer his wife's version - and I have always had "problems" with men singing women's songs and vice versa. Still a 9 out of 10.
Well, you can disagree if you like. Everyone's entitled to their opinion. No, honey, the most beautiful one is by Amy Grant. Listen to it. Merry Christmas.
Absolutely beautiful job, done by an enormously talented singer, Vince Gill. It's message is truth. Trust in Him and He will show you the way.
This is such a wonderful song and I love the way Vince Gill sings it. God bless you for sharing it and God bless Vince Gill for his beautiful performance.
This sounds like it is being sung by an angel. Best version I have heard.
Probably the most beautiful song I have ever heard Vince sing.....such a tremendous voice!

Its a beautiful version of the song. Vince Gill has a voice of an angel!
+kimberley elvins Except there is no way he can credibly sing about what it's like to be pregnant.
I just love this song, sung by anyone. This version is beautiful and moving! Thank you!
THE BEST INTERPRETATION OF THIS BEAUTIFUL SONG...THE BEST!!!!

Vince, thank you for sharing this song on the Special Olympics Christmas CD, we love it down under in Australia - beautiful work
For those complaining this is a 'woman's song,' please sit back and listen to the lyrics...they are a little different which gives Joseph's perspective.
I've been wondering how a man could sing this song. Great job! Thanks!
Beauiful Melody
You are so right. We only have to listen!
I love both versions of this song.

because he can.......
This is certainly Amy's song. I like his helping her in the chorus only.
Vine = Vince
Too bad I can't hear the words all it sounds like is humming.
Vince, don't ever do this again. Please? Thank you. Leave this one to Amy. She's great at it. Thank you very much.
I so disagree with this. This is the most beautiful rendition of this song I have ever heard.
Well, you can disagree if you like. Everyone's entitled to their opinion. No, honey, the most beautiful one is by Amy Grant. Listen to it. Merry Christmas.
He modified it a little to what Joseph would be feeling and the other version was Mary's prospective
Sad to say but Vince has a larger range than Amy. Both versions are great.
Leave this one to Amy, Vince. You don't have to try to be the best at it..
Why would a man sing this song?
If you read the bible, Joseph conflicted. It fits.
