Good tip! I had just been inserting a minute of silence between samples but this would eliminate any worry I'd have about forgetting to pause the track or kill the fader on the channel.
This is an improvised option, it would be correct for Denon Dj to introduce a Sampler option in one of the performance buttons on page 2 of these buttons
How do you find the effects section being at the back of the unit? I’m used to regular club layout. Did you use regular layout and then change over? If so, was it difficult? I’m torn between the prime 4 plus at £1900 Or sc live 4 £990 Only thing I want from prime 4 plus is stems and possibility to connect turntables I’m thinking buy sc live 4 for now. Especially as it has built in speakers and I can’t even play loud music and if I love it, maybe buy the more expensive prime 4 plus, in a year or so. Or maybe in a year or so, Denon may release a new device, with stem support and better layout. Amazon said I could order the Sc live 4 or prime 4 plus and return for refund if I’m not happy with it but I kinda don’t trust amazons word because they kinda let me down before . Any1 know if it’s possible to download some software to separate vocal from a song and then be able to mix just the vocal, in to another song. It would be much more convenient, to use the stem support on prime 4 plus but if there’s another way, I’d happily do it, buy sc live 4 and save 1000
hi nice video, I do have a question. in the video where you were on the prime 4 device cue/loops panel section, I saw on the right of the prime 4 screen save to my drive tab. Is that to save whetever settings you change and saves it to the drive so you don't have to set it again when you plug the drive in for your next gig?
Hey 👋 QUESTION 🙋♂️ Does it retain that sample after turned off and unplugged, does engine alter and save the thumb drive engine files with this sample?
If using the method in this video and you've created a file with a collection of samples, then once they have they have been cued up, they are set. But now that you can set up samples on the device, they are, they are set if you use the on board ones but if you use custom ones from your drive, that drive must be in use to use them.
i think not new for the most people. its basically a 30 year old concept to use samples on any digital device. we did the same since 1998 with BPM Studio that time. But maybe intersting for some newbies. so good work to upload it.
Since this video, this method is no longer required for the Denon Prime Series to use samples, but can be useful for other stand alone systems that don't have a sample feature. But to get your siren back, search for the siren track, make sure that you are in sample mode, swipe the track and then tap the pad where you want the siren to be assigned to.
I don't understand why Denon won't just make it possible to load our own samples to play within the sampler instead of having to load them onto the decks. One sample out of eight just ain't cutting it with the 3.0 update they've just released
@Jaime De Miguel I'll admit I spoke too soon. I found that it's possible. Hopefully they'll make it possible in the next update to load eight on one side and eight "different" on the opposite
Simple, Straightforward, and Bulletproof. Much more powerful on 4 channel units. Yet another reason to drag my P4 rather than the GO to gigs. Thanks!
Brother. You are the man. Thanks for sharing this with us all..
I love this what great ideas. I was looking for how to use the sampler function but this is epic!
Very clever, thx for the tip... I do use Denon DJ Prime 4 and never tough about it... Thx again!

That's where the activated loop comes in to help
Very good tutorial here. You have earned my sub. Keep up the good work. 👍🏾
Nice!!! I will pass this on to my Prime 4 family members.

Good Stuff. Nice work around.
Thank you
I came from the Future to say that we already have sample feature on firmware 3.0. 🤣
Only one of the samples is worth using.
If you want to use your own, you still have to load them on the decks
This is so badass. Genius.
big help. very clear and easy to follow.
My goodness!!! Thank you so much for this one!!!
Just know I’m so grateful…. These are my first RUclips comments I can ever recall writing
Love this, cheers
Thank you
nice video and great idea! , thanks!

Yes that's correct, all your settings can be saved on that drive.
Great trick, thank you!

Would it be easy to link my Akai MPC one to work with the prime 4 together would be amazing since both standalone system
Good question, but I'm not sure. It has an ethernet connection, I'm not sure if that gives out bpm information to other devices

Woo perfect 🔥👍

If I put a sample in a slot where the siren is, how do I get that siren back?

@@djcruza appreciate it! What's the other way you were talking about for samples btw?
Can this be done in the Denon Dj SC Live 4?
Yes and on any standalone system
Thank you!
Nice

Superrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Denon could have made it simple to use a Sample. DJ actively use samples and tbis is a major let down by Denon.
Your wish has been granted?
@@yu_1585 good video. As a reggae DJ I have too many samples to go through this process though it is useful. Thanks
@@DeanBrown no I mean like, denon just published a new update, which makes using samples way more accessible
@@yu_1585 send me that link please. Much appreciated
