It's been far too long.....in my opinion this is where your channel shines ...I get it u have to do the whole review thing but this right here is why I started watching your channel at beginning
We don't have to review aircraft, we just enjoy doing it - and there's only so many 3D tutorials one can make. Though there's other subjects that can be covered too.
Brilliant intro to 3D. Now you've whet everyone's appetite, i think it would be good if you followed up with videos concentrating on just a couple or three of the manouvres at a time, expanding on the problems, settings, solutions and common mustakes. This video was a good gallop through a lot of manouvres. Don't get me wrong, it was really good and late in coming. There is plenty of room for instructional videos for our hobby. Whether 3D or other aspects. Many thanks.
Great video John, lots of useful information even if you are like me and only looking for basic skills. I spent 20 years away from the hobby and now I am too old and cranky to try and learn the advanced stuff, but I enjoy watching those that are doing it.
This is a good video, more of this would be nice. Something I’m realizing is the recovery is almost more important than the trick. I did snap rolls on my UMX TTE and it’s really predictable and slow, on my Umx air tractor it’s so fast I have to click on safe to recover
Wonderful video! Love those!! :) I was wondering if you can recommend any model that's around 0.9-1.1m other than the Ultimate 3D which is capable of aerobatics or 3D
I'm o e of those people that inverted harrier was way easier to learn than regular harrier....I still prefer inverted to this day even after I got completely used to them both
Great tips!! I'm still terrified of doing any of this with my only non-umx plane. But, maybe I'll test 'em out on the little guy to gain confidence. This video's going in my library for reference. Thanks 👍
New subscriber Question, I have an inexpensive full size 3D foamy I dug up from 04 (typhoon 3D) I’m playing with and Is the prop supposed to be always spinning? Even if throttle is all the way down? Default settings and trim may be off
Great video, love all the explanations about the difficulties of each maneuvers. It’s a great help to have flying buddies or club members that POSITIVELY push you out of your comfort zone, and blame you for doing circles. I know that for some, this could be stressful, and not all clubs have 3D pilots. 8:04 You say right rudder but it’s left rudder you are doing ?
This is an excellent video. Thanks so much for making it. On the Skybound RC podcast you mention some books you like about mindset and psychology. Would you mind sharing the titles of the books?
@@TwoBrosRC This is from the transcipt. AI am referring you read up a lot on this topic. Though you dont expressly say it. “So I'm a huge fan of books. I mean, that's a stupid phrase. Oh, right, yeah - Dune would be a must-read recommendation from me. It goes over a lot of psychological aspects, including fear and the effect that it has on a person.
Ohhh... Gran trabajo 👌, felicidades
At 8:02 you say to knife edge spin with left aileron and full right rudder. However on the stick cam you’re holding left rudder. Is that a typo or am I missing something?
how tight is the gimbal on the throttle side? i started making my throttle crunchy or tight in order to have good rudder authority. is this a good technique overall? thanks
It's at default tension. We never saw a reason to adjust it. Technique is only as good as your ability to put it into practice. If it works for you, it's a good technique!
BTW, if you already have a spectrum transmitter, spend the $100 on RF Evolution. Best money I've spent since learning 3D. I use my NX8 with a usb cord.
Had the 6.5s version then just grabbed the evolution myself. I used the spektrum wireless usb receiver. Great great great way to practice 3d and improve and develop skills for sure I agree.
i have been flying for about 1,5 years on and of and i never used expo never really understood the reason why to use it so i have 0% expo and 125-to max travel on every surface and it works good with the planes i have - beach craft 1,5m valint 1,3m that i do the aerobatics witch hovering and other stuff . also have the cherokee 1,3m . but i think i will try expo just wondering if that will help me to get better at flaying i am not the best i learn every flight and i love it but some flight get me nervous and those flights are not the best . don’t have a lot of money so don’t whant to crash 😅

Glad it was helpful!

Really well thought out and put together. I do like how you didnt tell anyone what plane to use but kept it general.
Superb video, thanks so much

As helpful or even more so than previous 3D videos you've made.

If you're willing to go 1.3m, the E-flite Extra 300 is a solid choice.

Yep, that's pretty normal.

Good catch on the rudder. We were up until 12a editing this vid and messed up there.

Watch the stick movements and you'll see the timing needed!

It's a typo. Left rudder. Watch the sticks, that's all that matters.

cool
Do you adjust you throttle rates for 3D?
Nope - they're left completely linear.
You should buy a rv8 10e
At some point we might.
