Ford s-max battery replacement

Our battery wouldn't hold a charge so we bought a new one and fitted it ourselves as this was the cheapest and most educational option. It wasn't too difficult, but some of the plastic bits were fiddly to get out.

Thanks for the video, but you should disconnect the minus first in order to avoid a short-cut. As the minus is not reachable you can disconnect the minus located on the right side of the battery. The plus pole you disconnect as last and connect as first.

I think your thinking is the wrong way around, remove positive first, either way which ever way you do it there is always a risk to the electrics

@@alankalbarczyk4955 But with the Plus disconnected first you can easily get a short-circuit as the minus is ground and therefore the cars body... This procedure has nothing to do with the electronics safety but to avoid short circuits!
