I remember trying to survive my first night on Scorched Earth. What a tragedy it was. I was safe from the heat, but Scorched Earth had another surprise for me. I didn’t know how cold it got at night. My two torches weren’t enough to keep me warm. I knew if I went out to get more resources for more torches, the Daeodons would get me. Or Direwolves, Terror Birds, Raptors, etc. It didn’t end well.
Wow actually epic story I have passed scorched earth two times and I have to say that first night freaking sucks but until you get the desert/silk armor you get kinda buff

now he finally can rest now that the heat has died down but... its cold a bit too cold but he shrugs it off and rests under a rock in peace OR SO HE THOUGHT then he hears a SPLASH sound he opens his eyes and sees he is covered in green poision he gets it off and sees a poison wyvern so he makes a run for it after throwing a rock at it
Ok so the first night of being on scorched I built a thatch hut and decided to wait it out. Like ten minutes later I looked up from my phone and like five guys on poison wyverns rolled up and destroyed everything.
season 2 episode 3 chapter 1 it was still night when tom woke up he tried to lay down and go back to sleep but he couldnt he had the feeling of being watched and in danger so he gave up after a minute he looked at ray who was still sound asleep and grabbed his rifile and shotgun and exited the tent his kapro and rays thyla woke up immediantly tom hushed them and exited the light of the camp he had a strange sense guiding him so he followed it he knew he could make it back to camp once he had grabbed his flashlight he turned it on and almost screamed in front of him was a sleeping giga quickly turning off his flashlight and putting on his night vision googles he crept around 'i need to go wake up ray and we need to put some distance between us and this thing' he thought he stalked his was back to the camp and saw ray was out there looking for him tom turned on his flashlight and put his finger to his mouth when he got close to her ray asked "what is wrong tom" "there is a giga close to us we need to get out of here now" tom replied ray's face had gone pale causing tom to worry ray only pointed and when tom turned around he saw the giga following his tracks "cryo the animals I will turn off the lights" tom said ray hurried to the bag they had when they finished they heard the giga's terrifying growl they rushed to ray's tent and sat there ray was shaking in tom's arms they heard the giga enter the campsite smelling the air for a scent they were silent until the giga was in front of the tent tom holding ray's hand used his knife to cut a hole in the tent he grabbed a rock and threw it as far as he could "on go run to ravine" he sign languaged to ray he gave the signal and tom turned on the flashlight the heard a blood freezing roar the giga was chasing them they were almost there when tom dropped the croy pods he ran back for them "KEEP GOING DONT STOP!!!!" tom yelled he got the bag but the giga was almost to him ray and shined the flashlight and shot at the gigantic beast with her rifile but it did little to stop it tom jumped and then did a flawless roll into the ravine the giga smashed right into it letting out a furious roar and them stared right at them even as tom and ray stared at it both sides stayed there for an unknown amount of time then tom held rays hand and walked further into the cave end of chapter 1 chapter 2 the two walked for at least ten minutes and soon they found a cave "another cave come on ray lets go find that artifact!" tom said excitedly "I dont know tom we should probally head home" ray said "with that giga blocking the entrance I would rather wait for him to go and get something done we might as well" tom answered ray stood there hands on her hair then nodded and followed tom they walked until they saw a massive chasm and on the other side they saw the artifact but there were many creatures in their way pulling out his shotgun he asked "want me to do the honors or do you want the cake?" "though you would never ask" said ray and shot a onyc they blasted through their opposition mammal or bug big or small flying or not no creature survived their massicar and grabbing the artifact they walked out of the cave and got stung by the sunlight tom running to the entrance saw no giga and the two rode back home "well good job you two" henry said clearly pleased that they got a second artifact henry had been fixing the house and when tom went to go to his room he saw no door he looked in ray's room and discovered that it wasnt ray's room but tom's and ray's room "go on tom" henry said "you won her heart so I decided to let you two do your thing" he walked away but before leaving the hallway he said "just make sure to be quiet" and he shut the door end of chapter 2 chapter 3 henry had gone out in search of that giga that tom had found two weeks prior he wanted to give tom and ray some quality time together "ok toro" he said this is the area henry also brought alpha the direwolf he found that clearly was a true beast it didnt take long before the towering reptile came into view but something was wrong what henry thought was going to be a massive dinosaur that he was about to have to run away from was now just a dead body that was mutilated "what in the hell" henry said he decided that he would investigate and he wish he hadnt because behind the giga was three wyverns one was an adult with its head bit off probally by the giga. the second wyvern was a baby that was dead and getting picked by vultures and the third was hiding in a rock formation with five vultures flying over head henry quickly running over to the living baby had made the vultures target him henry had domed one the using his axe cut one in half and using the back end hitting the second vulture center mass breaking its neck he had shot his shotgun into the mass plucking two vultures however as the vultures coverged on him alpha lept, grabbing one with its fangs and crushing the other with its feet and timly enough toro rammed two more vultures the rest of the flock flew away from the group crowing their terrible wretched voices at the trio walking over to the baby wyvern who was cowering and try to find an escape route hissed at henry but henry threw a dead jerboa to it after henry backed away the baby extended its neck and snapped the body up before clumsily following its saviors it got close to henry and jumped into him henry almost got knocked down but was barely able to hold it the baby climbed on toros saddle and henry rode back home on alpha when he got home he looked around for tom and ray he went into the main room of the house and let the wyvern roam free then we went upstairs and when he was ten feet away from the door he heard tom and ray and he walked in the room tom and ray were caught offgaurd "get out of the bed get your clothes back on and go into the living room!" henry said and shut the door when tom and ray were downstairs they saw the baby wyvern and they all played with the baby after five minutes henry grabbed tom by the shoulder and said "outside" when tom was outside henry said "how long were you wasting your time having fun?" tom was furious and said hotly "why dont you knock before-" "ANSWER THE QUESTION TOM!!" roared henry who was not taking any of the crap tom was saying "maybe ten minutes" tom replied "we dont need ray to be unable to help you all can have your child when this is finished" henry said threatingly "we werent doing it for that henry it was-" tom's cheeks went red "it was just for fun henry" "we need to get stuff done not fool around" henry told tom end of season 2 episode 3
true story: i didnt know how cold it got on scorched earth on ps4 compared to ps5 that was 44°F ps4 version was 12°F for at night i needed to get some fur immidiately but i knew the terror birds micro raptors troodons direwolves daeodons dilos and carnos and gigas and t rexes would slurp up on my remains if i even took a step at night to get hide not even a chance i was playing ps4 and the lowest i saw was 12 just so you know last gen is way more dramatic for its dropping temps
Just like real life desert. Irl deserts also reach freezing temperatures because of the wind and lack of terrain to block it causing it to become really cold

My only problem with scorched earth is the spawns, which are always covered in raptors, terror birds, and anything else that can kill you.

"what in the hell" henry said he decided that he would investigate and he wish he hadnt because behind the giga was three wyverns one was an adult with its head bit off probally by the giga. the second wyvern was a baby that was dead and getting picked by vultures and the third was hiding in a rock formation with five vultures flying over head
henry quickly running over to the living baby had made the vultures target him henry had domed one the using his axe cut one in half and using the back end hitting the second vulture center mass breaking its neck he had shot his shotgun into the mass plucking two vultures however as the vultures coverged on him alpha lept, grabbing one with its fangs and crushing the other with its feet and timly enough toro rammed two more vultures the rest of the flock flew away from the group crowing their terrible wretched voices at the trio
walking over to the baby wyvern who was cowering and try to find an escape route hissed at henry but henry threw a dead jerboa to it
after henry backed away the baby extended its neck and snapped the body up before clumsily following its saviors it got close to henry and jumped into him henry almost got knocked down but was barely able to hold it the baby climbed on toros saddle and henry rode back home on alpha
when he got home he looked around for tom and ray he went into the main room of the house and let the wyvern roam free then we went upstairs and when he was ten feet away from the door he heard tom and ray and he walked in the room
tom and ray were caught offgaurd
"get out of the bed get your clothes back on and go into the living room!"
henry said and shut the door
when tom and ray were downstairs they saw the baby wyvern and they all played with the baby after five minutes henry grabbed tom by the shoulder and said "outside"
when tom was outside henry said
"how long were you wasting your time having fun?"
tom was furious and said hotly "why dont you knock before-"
"ANSWER THE QUESTION TOM!!" roared henry who was not taking any of the crap tom was saying
"maybe ten minutes" tom replied
"we dont need ray to be unable to help you all can have your child when this is finished" henry said threatingly
"we werent doing it for that henry it was-" tom's cheeks went red "it was just for fun henry"
"we need to get stuff done not fool around" henry told tom
