Because relevance of content matters. See, he is a content creator. Since, Olympic is trending currently, talking about it can surely help the video reach people. So yeah, not trying to say he's doing this only for views, he has got good points. It's just the fact that we forget and move on so easily, but we need to talk about this anytime.

For those complaining, remember that out of total budget, youth and sports ministry received 0.19% of total budget out of which 0.17% was separated for sports.
Zero investment couple with heavily politicised sports associations and council is the root cause behind Nepal’s humiliation.

Prince Dahal's first match was with Viktor Axelsen, the defending olympic champion and 2024 paris gold medalist now. He played well against such a big player. However, he got to play 2 more matches in which he could have done better as it was against lower ranked players especially against Israel but he could not win a set. Still he has to be the best player in badminton from Nepal and has a bright future.

We do not focus on school level championship and nurturing talent since school levels. Niether there is proper facilities for national players nor proper infrastructure and Even if infrastructure is made it is not maintained timely!!!
I don't see corporates investing in sports except cricket football and volleyball. Lets take example of india and other countries where big corporates house run foundation and support players economically and also provide them coaches as well.

Few reasons for Nepal being so poor at olympics:
    1. The main reason is obvious. Non existent and poor infrastructure and facilities. No place to train properly and no international standard venues.
    2. No sporting culture in the country.Other countries have sports being played at competetive level since they are at school.A player develops his skills at very young age.
    3. No incentive or motivation to play other than to just represent Nepal at olympics and break national record.
    4. Third class investment in sports. The national budget for sports isnt even 1 percent .
    5. No world class coaching and the players participate in competetive matches for less than two three months apart from that nothing to do the whole year.
    6. No salary for players playing different sports. The players are caught between feeding themselves and their families make sure their own future is secure or prepare for olympics

I still remember back in the days we had a system of scouting athletes which was called something like "जिल्ला स्तरीय खेलकुद प्रतियोगिता"...where we could compete according to our age range in varied athletics sports and track and field...Gone are those days when we had any grass root level organization for any sort of sports let alone facilities or funding for it, The acute corruption in any sports body in Nepal is so prevalent that not being corrupt is a laughing matter it seems...Forget the government backing for the sport body, facilities, funding, infrastructure but i will not be surprised if Olympics is a front for human trafficking i.e. fleeing from the host country and applying for asylum, In any case how do we explain the 21 people group who are so called sports official when we had 7 players participating...With billion of reasons to be unsatisfied with where our country is heading this is one of them too.. Fucking bureaucracy and cesspool cycle of power sharing.. #enoughisenough

I think one big thing is to start sports as a serious thing in schools. Everyone can play all sports and the best will join teams and play against each other at school level which will improve the overall system. Currently very few schools do it and everything that kids do is afterschool which is already really difficult at the age due to studies. Our school system is focused on only studies and no exercise and sports. When I was in school, we had 1 sports period each week and if it rained we had none and except basketball and table tennis there was nothing. Playing against each other is fine but the best should go and play with other schools and the cream from the top could rise and reach national and international level. In countries like the US, there are college scholarships based on sports. India has a really good cricketing system which takes their best to the state and national teams.

Only esports players are sustaining in Nepal. As for the other sports, players must be highly appreciated that they are giving their youth ages and all efforts with the very less facilities, appreciations and security.

The very first thing is there is no investment in sports in Nepal. insufficient investment in sports and a focus on view tower ,corruption, rather than athletic development.
Additionally, many young people are preoccupied with mobile phones instead of participating in sports or physical training. This combination of inadequate sports funding and the misallocation of time contributes to the country's minimal success in the Olympics

I think we need to ask a couple of fundamental question to ourselves while discussing these topics.
We talk about lack of government funding everywhere. But don't think critically on where would that fund come from. Nepal is poor so of course it doesn't have money. And compounding this together with mis management, poor management, the situation becomes very bad. The only way for Nepal to have enough money to invest is for it to develop economically i.e. have industries inside Nepal that actually generates money.
With that being said, if we want to win medals I think investing on a few sports make sense. One thing everyone needs to understand is that winning in Olympics is not easy task. High level of skill, high level of training is of course needed which is difficult to achieve. But that is not all, there are several players with this skill. Especially in sports where countries like US, China invest, they also have a whole team dedicated in each minute detail of what athletes should wear, eat, what type of motion is better, there is a whole sports science team dedicated in doing these types of research. So winning a medal in 'less popular' sports where other countries haven't made such investment might be easier.
At the same time, we also need to ask is it really necessary that we win Olympics medal at this moment by putting on so much effort on a single individual from the government side? I think private sectors should be making such investments. That will be more important. Elite athletes should be viewed as role models and companies should be investing on them, use them in their ad campaign etc. Eg: Sports organization should work in monetization potential of athletes. Our shoes, clothes factories should be using athletes to promote their products.
Government on the other hand should be more focused on promoting sports in the ground level. Make children and youths involve in sports. Promote playing sports to build discipline, to remain healthy etc from young age. This also enables ex athletes should to work as coaches throughout the country. Children in schools should be taught different types of sports properly. And some of them who really have high potential can be selected to become athletes. This strategy ensures we have a good pool of athletes candidates. And even if we don't win medals, we at least have our youths mentally and physically healthy and minimize risk of them engaging in bad activities. At the same time, athletes will be able to have a career as a coach after retirement from sports. Sports facility should be build not just for athletes but so that all the schools and youths are able to make use of them.
In my opinion this should be the first focus, winning actual medals in Olympics will come slowly when we are capable of investing in sports science.

corruption is not only the factor .It is also about the thinking we are only glamoured by the foreign employment. I recently encountered my maternal uncle saying "we can't even stand among foreign players" . But the hypocrisy is even when he got know that his son/daughter has an interest in sports. I bet he won't allow him/her to do . Instead of supporting him he will force him /her to studies as perferred by society .
