      A couple of hours, taking my time. It was easy, all tools provided.

    I'm not sure if you've gone through snow or on ice with it. I got mine (white step thru) last year but I haven't used it yet from not knowing how to ride it and it's very heavy bike . I also want to get a cell phone holder for my big phone like yours and a mirror to see. On my mountain bike, I have a battery operated turn signal but needs a new cell battery. I was planning to put it on my electric bike. I'm glad I bought it since we get a lot of thick snow here in Minnesota in the winter but we got a lot of thick ice too that I'm waiting to melt.

      My Leopard will be stored in the basement during our winter. I'm not into riding in snow & ice. Right now we have 4" & still snowing. Yesterday is was 6 degrees. Enjoy riding.

    Hey! Chris, I'am enjoying your eBike venture. Today I was inspired to ink up my Hongdian H1 black aluminum FP :)

    That looks like fun, but be careful out there. I was nervous as heck when you were on the county road.

      Yes, thankfully I have years of biking experience. Many in New York City. Need good skills to survive there.

    Hello! how fast can the bike go on just throttle alone and how many miles can you travel on one charge alone?

    • @chrisrap52
      @chrisrap52  Год назад +1

      Speed fast enough, close to 28mph on the flat. Distance, depends on terrain & how much pedaling. No pedaling on flat smooth surface, I guess close to 30 miles.

    Hey Chris, I enjoy your bike videos. I ordered one for myself now I’m just waiting for it to get here. I’m in NJ as well. Thanks for the great information.

    Very much enjoyed your videos about the Haoqi ebike. I got mine in late July after a nine week wait. I am really enjoying it. I did not receive the correct manual with the bike. Your video was very helpful in setting up the control and display. Is there an on line manual available? I cannot get the office to send me one.

    Looked like a fun ride. just wondering, a future fun project might be to charge it up with solar, or are you already doing that?

    • @chrisrap52
      @chrisrap52  3 года назад +1

      No. I'm not planning extended trips where I may need a solar alternate. I charge at home & I expect the range to be 50+, well within my riding.

    The Master is out - I see that barrel does not have any chatoyance, but looks great in that natural light 😍
    A crab-worthy ride 😉

      Unfortunately, the crabs are not built to carry an e-bike. BUT if they could....

    I read a lot about city planning. I've been reading that e-bikes might be a great way to reduce short car trips. And I can't help but think that they would reduce the obstacles of things like wind or steep hills to bike riders.
    So you must feel comfortable at 25 mph on the bike?
    Edited to add: I thought suddenly of the movie "Boys from Brazil." The first man who is killed rides a bicycle that seems to have a gasoline assist. The e-bike is a quieter, more environmentally friendly successor to that!

    • @chrisrap52
      @chrisrap52  3 года назад +1

      That is one reason I got an ebike, short trips around town. It is very comfortable & stable at 30 mph. The fat tires contribute a lot to how it rides. Today I put a hitch bike rack on the Tundra. Trails here I come.

    How do you calibrate the speed between your phone and the bike?

    • @chrisrap52
      @chrisrap52  11 месяцев назад +2

      I haven't tried. I use the phone for an accurate speed.

    This was fantastic! But if only your neighborhood had some scenic views. ;) I would love to get one of these, but here in Southern California it is just too dangerous. I hope to see many more of these videos. [Added wink emoji to indicate intended sarcasm.]

      @@chrisrap52 Oh dear, the problem with the written word. I was intending sarcasm; the views in your neighborhood are stunning! Sorry for the misunderstanding. My neighborhood, by contrast, is just a plain old residential neighborhood. If I lived in your neck of the woods, I would truly be inspired to get out there and bike or walk. Your channel is one of my go-to channels for fountain pens, and these ebike videos are like icing on the cake! Thanks for all that you do.
