I'm going to play with the grip thing on the range in a couple of hours. Thanks Mr Dalke! Ps. One of the local players from over here in Namibia said you two spent some time together a year or two ago. Pretty cool 😊😊
I’m no pro but I’ll bet he’ll say something along the lines of shifting your weight forward and controlling the bottom of your swing. Easier said than done unfortunately
I’ve struggled with this the whole time I’ve been golfing. The number 1 fundamental in golf is to control the low point of the swing..basically being able to hit the ground in the same spot every time. This is the main reason why I subscribe to Tom Saguto. Most of his videos are basically, what is the best way to control the low point of the swing.
Just a guess since I can't see your swing, but I had a buddy with the same issue. For him, I noticed he was setting up behind the ball, and then hitting that spot as his low point. It literally could be as simple as moving your ball either back in your stance, or shifting your hands forward (past the ball) at address. I'd try both out on the range and see if either helps. Note that at first ANY change will feel weird and gross. Try it for a good 10-20 swings and see if you don't hit at least one good shot in there. Then you can gauge if this is something that you think would be good to implement long term :)
You pointed something out to me about my alignment. I always line up pointed at the target and it always goes right. Your explanation about keeping your feet parallel to the correct line made a lot of sense. Thanks!
Nice Brad glad to see Labs back and from another players perspective. I'm sure this will give a lot of young players getting into the game through GG vids perspective on how they can improve their game. Best of luck with it.
Perfect explanation. I do all this every day I get on the range and before each round of golf. Thank u. Can't wait to see wat is next on Good good labs. Love it
my biggest issue is balance, my trainer gave me a way to practice that and it’s helped a lot, but i’m going to add Brads balance trick to my practice as well!
Nailed my strong grip and left ball flight ✈️ bias. Wish I could post my last sim session tracer results, hilariously left..Neutral grip V to right shoulder is very helpful! Thanks!
loved this! gave me a much better understanding of grip, which has been an issue for me! also, long shot, but does anyone know what shoes brad's wearing? they look great!
I’d be curious to hear what Brad’s opinion is on Stack and Tilt. Lot of other things in the set up that needs to be addressed. Such as shaft lean, feet position (toes flared or toes straight), ball position. How far do we stand from the ball? Do we need a straight back or is a rounded back ok. Tons of things to discuss with set up. This being the first video……I think Brad will get dialed in on the instruction!!
I wish I could just fly over to Texas, sleeping in the Good Good house, and train every freaking day with you Brad. Looks like a great challenge how much you guys could improve me in those 3 months, with all the facilities you got. I’m a HCP 45 now and started 3 months ago.
Brad love the content and training keep up the good work. I have a question. I feel like all my Irons go the same distance. What am I doing wrong or what do I need to fix? Thank you
Love the video! Can’t wait for more of theses. Question for you… After hitting about 100 balls at the range, my back will be tight and sore between my shoulder blades. Is that normal? Or does that mean that I am being too tight in my stance, etc? Note: I am pretty new golfer. Have only golfed on a course a handful of times
Hey Brad, i would love a video on some ways to train how to hit the ball and then get a nice turf. My golf club i play at only use matts on range, and its hard to train on that aspect of my game.i could only train it on course but when i try to get a turf hit i usually play way worse and chunk it. I barely get a nice chunk of turf when i hit. And i would love to know some ways to improve.. much love ❤
Great video Brad! I think it would be helpful if you could hit a couple shots with the different things you are explaining. Looking forward to more videos!
Thank you! A lot of the videos will involve me hitting shots. Since this one was just about set up, I didn’t feel the need to hit. But I will in the future!
any tips for lining up while playing? I try to draw a line from the flag back to my ball and pick a spot just in front of the ball to aim at, but it's hit or miss. I'd love to see you talk through your setup as if you're on the course and preparing to hit a shot! pumped that labs is up and running again!
I have been getting my handicap down and getting proper into golf and then last week it felt like I was lost and all my lessons went to pot. This video has just solved all of my problems and helped me realise that I had too much of a weak grip which was stopping my ball from drawing. You have saved me a world of pain and hatred 😂! Cheers Brad 🙏🫶
Hi Brad, thanks for this, I have an issue with my bag set up. Firstly I’m a 66 year old female, and hit my 7 iron around 120 carry, but my lowest iron (6) and my 7 wood go almost the same distances. I have the PXG gen 5P irons and hit them sweetly, so I’m wondering whether to replace my 7 wood with a PXG gen5 XP 6 iron which would be 3deg less than my P 6iron. My gen 6 driver goes around 200 total. I’d be interested in your thoughts. Melissa
i have seen the effects of a overly strong grip in my own swing (mostly in my driver), i started with a very weak left hand and was slicing and then moved stronger and stronger until i was hitting a hook on most drives, went a bit weaker and now im back to a push but still a "strong " right hand so need to fix that
Great vid Brad, thanks a mil. Question: How tight does one hold the club and with which hand do you drive the club to generate the club speed. I am new to the game and after watching the Good Good vids and so keen to get playing more often. Cheers
Thanks for watching! Everyone is different but normally you want to hold it about a 4/10. If 1 is barely even gripping it and 10 is putting a death grip on the club. I hope that makes sense but it is hard to explain 😂
if you have a neutral grip (previously had a very strong grip) and you still are hitting very low, short shots that start middle and curve way left or start left and continue left, what could the cause be? Would it be worth trying a weak grip?
Loving the content so far, Brad! Would you be able to use "lead arm" & "trail arm" terminology? I'm a lefty, & it can get a bit confusing with the rights & lefts being flip-flopped. If I'm watching the video as I practice, it's not as tough, but if I watch it, then go to the range/course, that's when memory on right vs left gets mixed up & I've noticed the few teaching pros that try to use lead & trail instead of right & lefty seem to click better for us lefties out here. I can't wait to see what's in store on this channel, your swing is just so damn pure & you're courses mgmt is top notch!
My one question that I always struggle with is how should your club face be aligned with the before you swing? Should the face be kind of open or turned in? I’ve never seen a video answer that…
Would have been nice to see some information on appropriate shaft lean at set up as well for different clubs. Spine angle as well, maybe that’s too advanced ?
Are you talking about the club being parallel at the top? If so a weaker grip tends to make the club point left of the target and a stronger grip tends to make the club point right of the target
finally someone creates a full lesson for a beginner where to start without even hitting the ball, this is what most golfers need to watch
The explanation of strong / weak / neutral grip was especially helpful - thanks!
I hope it helps! Thanks for watching
I'm going to play with the grip thing on the range in a couple of hours. Thanks Mr Dalke! Ps. One of the local players from over here in Namibia said you two spent some time together a year or two ago. Pretty cool 😊😊
I’m looking forward to Brads explanation of striking ball first. Always been the hardest part of golf to me.
I’m no pro but I’ll bet he’ll say something along the lines of shifting your weight forward and controlling the bottom of your swing. Easier said than done unfortunately

Keep these coming Brad! Extremely helpful.
Thank you, Brad, keep up the good work, it is much appreciated!
Thanks Brad! No one better to restart lesson vids than you. Will a takeaway/backswing and downswing video be coming soon? Keep‘em coming please
Congrats Brad. I’m glad this channel is back up and running.
wow exactly the video i needed in time for my second tournament, can’t wait to see what else comes out of this channel ‼️‼️
Thanks brad i love watching all ur guys videos
I am thrilled to see the good good labs return! As a new golfer these quick tips have helped my game.
You pointed something out to me about my alignment. I always line up pointed at the target and it always goes right. Your explanation about keeping your feet parallel to the correct line made a lot of sense. Thanks!
Great video Brad! Thanks for the dedications that’s gonna go into these videos!
Appreciate the good tips! Great advice and kept it nice and simple! Good Stuff Brad!
Bubbie sets up 30 yards right every time 😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
40-45 yard slangers 😂😂😂
cause he hits a hook
But he's lost his hook recently. It's much more of a strong draw than a full on hook like it was.

Headed to the range right now to try this out. Thanks, Brad
This has to be the best explanation of the grib I've ever seen. Staying basic, only been playing for 6 years 15 hcp
Thank u sir
Thanks for the refresher Brad.
Perfect explanation. I do all this every day I get on the range and before each round of golf. Thank u. Can't wait to see wat is next on Good good labs. Love it
That’s awesome, keep that up!! Thank you for watching
Awesome first lesson brother, really looking forward to these videos
Brad gives lessons... im listening and putting it to work. Simple.
Great video, thanks to you I found my slice problem I had recently developed. Checked my grip and discovered I had started to get a weak grip.
Good job Brad, can’t wait to see the next one
So damn excited for this. Also, major props to intro graphic. Underappreciated skill.
Good job Brad. I like that you’re starting here.
Loved this video boys! Looking forward to more of this content!!
This helped me out so much. I didn’t know I had a strong grip. I changed my grip and now my driver is so much cleaner and straight!
Love the breakdown! Basics like this help so much with consistency and knowing that you’re set up for success when addressing the ball
Thank you! Going back to the basics can be super important even for really good golfers
@@braddalkegolf never can forget where you started and the basics, no matter what stage you are as a golfer will always help you one way or another
Love it. Great work 👏
Excited for this revival. Big fan of Brad, think he's gonna be excellent at this. Can't wait for the low nipper tutorial 😉
Great video! Thank for explaining the grips! I seem to always have issues with that. I’ll try it out next range session!
No problem! I tried making it as simple as possible. The grip is a huge factor in the overall swing and it can be easy to overlook!
This is awesome! Very clear info and super helpful for a hacker like myself.
cant wait for the putting lessons. brads putting is insane
Good stuff Brad! My slice off the tee is so bad...I cant wait to try this out at the range
Good video Brad! enjoyed it
Awesome video talking about the fundamentals
Good job Brad!

This is awesome🙌🏻 would love a video on how to gain compression with irons!
Great video !!
Great information
I don’t even watch these videos for the instruction. I just like watching any type of good good content lol
Good information Brad! A great resource for setup is Ben Hogan’s 5 lessons the modern fundamentals of golf .
Hopefully you can make a video on detailing on ball placement. This helped a bit tho thanks
Good shit brad 💪🏼
big fan of the new labs intro btw. shoutout to the editors once again

Thanks for the grip reminder. Mine has been getting a little on the strong side.

8:10 wow thank you this grip knowledge clutch, i slice the ball and my grip is exactly how the slice grip is.... back to the lab again
Brad, what are your thoughts on over lapping vs. interlocking your fingers in the grip?

The grip makes so much sense. I have struggling with a slice/fade and my grip is so wrong.
“Hillman 48-in Orange Reflective Rod” is a $3 alignment rod you can buy at Lowe’s.
Easy and useful purchase!

And both hands are used to drive the club! Left hand technically does more of the work but you don’t want to be thinking about that necessarily
I usually have my shorter irons more on my back heel, could this be a reason for chunking?

i want chipping lessons for those crazy one hopper stoppers
if you have a neutral grip (previously had a very strong grip) and you still are hitting very low, short shots that start middle and curve way left or start left and continue left, what could the cause be? Would it be worth trying a weak grip?
It could be a number of different things honestly. You might mess around with a touch weaker grip and see if that fixes anything though!
Idk if this will get answered but does thumb placement on the grip make a difference
I can’t wait for the Nipply Jizzler tutorial. For serious 😅
It’s coming soon 👀
Can you do a video on how you putt that would be great that’s a part of my game I’m struggling with right now

My one question that I always struggle with is how should your club face be aligned with the before you swing? Should the face be kind of open or turned in? I’ve never seen a video answer that…
What could cause my club to tip out in front of me instead of staying behind the hands?
Legit question, why do you put the 2 alignment sticks parallel instead of making a + ?
Dont put your headphones on when watching this... Brads voice is jumping around left and right speaker... 😮

how bout ball placement for wedges?
Would have been nice to see some information on appropriate shaft lean at set up as well for different clubs. Spine angle as well, maybe that’s too advanced ?
Can u guys do one on ball striking
There will be plenty of ballstriking!
Please do 3 wood basics

I have a problem with my grip where I like physically can’t get the club to parallel even with a full shoulder turn. No clue how to fix it
Are you talking about the club being parallel at the top? If so a weaker grip tends to make the club point left of the target and a stronger grip tends to make the club point right of the target
