I want to share some unknown fun facts here. As soon as Hitler came to power, he tossed the Treaty of Versailles into the trash and ordered his navy to build such a massive battleship that enemy nations would be left staring at it in awe. The German shipbuilding company Blohm & Voss built just such a warship, like a floating fortress, and named it Bismarck. In reality, Bismarck was like an invincible fortress. Wherever it went on a hunt, curfews were declared in that area. But the end of this story was quite ironic. When the final battle of this colossal ship occurred, it faced 11 enemy ships. Yet, even then, no one could control Bismarck, and the ship kept playing hide and seek, disappearing from sight. Then, the captain of an aircraft carrier named HMS Victorious ordered an air strike. HMS Victorious had Swordfish torpedo bombers that attacked Bismarck, but they couldn't cause any damage. It was like a mosquito trying to bring down an elephant. However, they took a chance. The result was that one torpedo from a Swordfish plane hit Bismarck's propeller, rendering the ship crippled. Bismarck, like a wounded, paralyzed giant, started circling aimlessly in a fixed radius while the 11 enemy ships kept attacking it. But Bismarck refused to sink. Almost all the admirals, commanders, and captains who attacked praised Hitler's ship, saying, "If this ship had not belonged to an enemy nation, I would have just kept admiring its elegance and beauty." The end of this colossal ship came at the hands of a mosquito-sized aircraft carrier's plane. Now tell me, what warfare tactics did The Kriegsmarine (Hitler's navy) trusted the most? (Which proved to be very effective.)
