I'm struggling with negativity, I'm always afraid, emotionally weak. I know I'm dealing with anxiety and depression everyday, and it's so heavy and I'm always praying for peace and joy to come into my life because I'm tired of carrying all the worries and fears. And today after listening to this, just like that God gave me the answer, that he already given me that peace and joy since the day I prayed for it. I just didn't see it because I was expecting that it would happen later, or years after when I'm not depressed anymore or when I'm already strong. But he gave me that peace and joy when my mind was clouded and my heart was numb. It took me 3 years to realize that and I'm grateful.
You are not alone, Kreshia, we are all gathering here, we have gone through trials, suffer, depression. fearness, panic suicide. we didn't see the light, we were in darkness, but in deep, we have God's spirit, be proud we succeed to survive, be proud that we are god's child , be proud that we never give up life and we are keep walking. lets be happy together. rejoice together. hug for you, love you~

This year 2022, I choose to be happy. Forget all the pains and bitter breaks. I do believe God has a good plan for me. He sent people and let them leave and hurt me because there is greater joy in every heartaches.

I came to Lakewood for the first time today all the way from Tennessee. The whole drive I was nervous. I was hoping I wouldn’t be disappointed. Instead I was blown away. The tightness of worry across my chest is gone. Brother Joel, I don’t know if this message will reach you, but thank you. Thank you for praying for everything I was concerned about. I'm really happy to hear you say that... I recently had the opportunity to work with a Somali girl who was Muslim as my PCA and she would get so disturbed every time I would say God or angels OR bring anything of the Christian religion into her car. I was so confused by that! We don't work together anymore because unfortunately the cultural barrier was too much for HER. I was happy to respect her need for prayer, if we were together. GLADLY I facilitated her in the community room of my building numerous times 🤦🏽 but she just would not relent with any kind of respect for my faith ❤️ BE WELL!

In April 2014, my wonderful (51 yr old) husband passed away suddenly, following a relatively minor surgery, three weeks prior. I was very happily married and it only took 14 minutes for my life to end (figuratively speaking). After a year of overwhelming sadness, it came to me one day that I could “choose” to be the happy woman I was before my hubby passed, and that he’d want that for me. Gradually I came out of that dark room, and chose the happy, sunny room next door to it. It doesn’t happen by magic, it’s hard to leave the confines of how you’re living for the unknown, but YOU HAVE TO DO IT, or else you’ll stay stuck where you are. I literally thought of it as going from one room to another, that I was in control of my choices, and gradually life became worth living again. Great things cannot happen while you’re living the life of Eyore. God luck to everyone on their journey. Maybe I’ve helped just one person today. ❤️❤️❤️

I love my girlfriend so much, i feel happy being with her, but we're going through difficult moment of our relationship that has to do with misunderstanding that's leading to break-up. She has blocked me everywhere, but i believe my God that I'm serving will bring her back in my life. I feel your pain my sister passed away on the 25th of November 2021. There is NO time limit on grief, take your time. I don't think you ever get over loss of a loved one, you just get better at handling it each day. My sister is also with the Lord, but it still isn't easy as we are human beings and we are hurting. God sees your heart and will be there for you, keep your eyes on him and ask him for the help and peace, comfort that you need. Thinking of you and your family. God bless .

I have been watching Joel for a long time and I stopped watching him, because I went trough a Divorce after 30 years and became very depressed. I then found out I had cancer. I became very disappointed. I have been very sad and unhappy. But today I decided I’m going to be happy . After listening to him, I said I will not let my family and the people around me make me angry and sad anymore. I know God loves me and I will start every morning saying I will be happy . Pastor Joel...I thank God for you. Every since I started watching Lakewood services online, I've been a better person. I think I was literally headed for suicide because of all the suffering I'd endured all my life - no matter how loving and kind I was, something always led people to return evil for my love. By the time I found out about Lakewood, I had been weary and depleted - just like a shell with a heart - needing relief. Then a little bit before I discovered Lakewood, the Lord spoke to me where I could hear him clearly, for the first time in years. He said, "I'm going to restore you...etc." I had just been personally invited to a party my sister was throwing for my dad, invited by him. The family had been celebrating without me for years - rejected by a seriously abusive mother who for no reason told me over and over when I was growing up, that she hated me and that I'd never amount to anything. Her words had cursed me and she turned all my family away from me. An uncle said he was scared to help me because he didn't want my mom to get mad at him. Anyway, back to 2019 ... the Lord told me to go to my parents and ask them to bless me. They live in different states and I almost forgot but, on my way out of the door to travel back to Georgia, at the last moment God reminded me, so I turned around. Dad chuckled and said, "You want my blessing? Okay." But I had to take mom an expensive gift and she said she didn't believe God wanted me to be blessed. I had to remind her that God even tells us to bless our enemies. So she did it. Anyway, I've been waiting since summer of 2019 to receive my blessing and Pastor Joel spoke at the beginning of 2022 and said over the airwaves that on March 17 around 2:30 would be my ... date? That's my birthday!!! I'm so excited! I'm like a kid the night before Christmas about this - restless and trying to stay focused until that day. Thank you Lord! The torment and abuse ends soon. Hallelujah.
