Thank you for the review(s).. also checked your HDM45-a vs 745a comparison.. Actually I was looking for a solution for gigs when I can't bring / carry my subs with me... I now use the ART932 together with some subs.. Sound great but a bit harsh and not that much sub when used as full range.. The weight of these 15" RCF's isn't that much heavier.. 745 even weights the same as the 932, but I choose the HDM45-a instead.. a lot of money but you convinced me. Thanks!!
The woofer is actively controlled for precision, but this cancels the effect of the bass port which works by relying on the air mass to delay the bass coming out of the port so it would be in phase with the woofer, the active controlling makes it too easy for the woofer to move air which prevents the delay

I would be very interested to hear your thoughts on this. I've been using the Yamaha DZR10 for 2 years. I now own the RCF 910a and unbelievably the RCF can be pushed much harder which makes a complete nonsense of the Yamaha's 137dB rating compared to the RCF 130dB. The RCF also sound brighter than the Yamaha.

@@njdenney69 I really don't like overtly bright speakers. It's not like the DZRs are lacking fidelity. In fact I think they are voiced very conservatively and really open up when used with good mics and content. They most certainly are incredibly loud. They do hit limit if you run lots of bass-heavy content through them but I think that's a pre-emptive measure as they certainly don't sound like they're struggling. Unlike the are 712a's we use to use, they didn't limit easily but they certainly sounded less pleasing at high volumes. For what it's worth, the Behringer Eurolive's might sound good to some people on account of their brightness too.

Good question. The real reason I use 15's is to eliminate using subs. I think you'll achieve greater spl and maybe a nice (or maybe not so nice) overlap/reinforcement/pairing that is fuller with 15's & subs This all really depends on how you like your sound. Some may not like the overlap/reinforcement using 15's. I have uploaded the 745 with an 18 sub and it sounded glorious. I like the sound of the 114a but it doesn't have the guts of a 945. The 945 is special. They are both very good in their own way. The HDM45a outperforms both of them I hear the Mitus 152a is good but I have never heard one, its weight and price puts me off. You can't go wrong with any of your choices, really. You're the best judge as to which one ultimately suits you
945 will be more composed, sound better than the 12.2 and at extreme output much more stable. If you manage to get a demo also consider listening to the 745, you could save lots of $'s If you've got a bigger budget listen to the HDM45, it's a fantastic buy @

you'll need to throttle back the HDM's on the 8003 or 8004 then it'll all be fine
@@opaz. thank you for your quick reply.
When you say throttle back what do you mean? Sorry to sound stupid .
@@jblack8712 means reduce the volume abit on the speaker so that it doesnt sound too loud compared to the sub
Thank you. This is much appreciated. Your uploads have given me a real appreciation of your 745’s.
👍🏼
But his comparison of the HDM45's and the 745's went to the HDM's by a lot
@@alreno76 also true.
@@joewhittle801 that's why I bought them lol
@@alreno76 well done. They are on my wish list
You make another video or this is the last on the art945
Not sure. May have a head to head with the DZR
I'm new here ,,I'm from Philippines Angeles,,I'm a DJ ROCK N ROLL BAR,,
Welcome Richard 👍🏼
I just ordered the RCF 910-As... I was using QSC K12.2 but I find them too boomy and kinda harsh sounding. I'm gonna pair these RCF 10's with the RCF 705 subs, should be a nice combo?
I'd rather have a system that sounds really tight and clean with a sweet sound that won't cause ear fatigue. The QSCs are obviously loud and powerful... But I wouldn't call them clean sounding at loud volumes up close in a small wedding imo.
What would you chose rcf 745 mk4 or rcf j8? For dj gigs?
j8
You gave me too many options at the end !! 😀🙈🙈🙈🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ need a ABC demo with the other models? Thanks again

Hello! You prefer the sound of RCF 945a or FBT prmomaxx 114 ? (perhaps an another speaker)
I have : Yamaha dzr15, Pionner xprs15, RCF 715a, Ev Ekx12 FBT xlite12a JBL srx 835, etc
(and subwoofer : 15, 18, 21 inches)
I would like to buy FBT promaxx 114a or mitus 152a or a RCF 745a, 945a, nx45a, but I don't know how it's sound.
Perhaps Tannoy vxp 12 or Martin audio f12+
Thank you very much
I like the sound of the 114a but it doesn't have the guts of a 945. The 945 is special. They are both very good in their own way. The HDM45a outperforms both of them
I hear the Mitus 152a is good but I have never heard one, its weight and price puts me off. You can't go wrong with any of your choices, really. You're the best judge as to which one ultimately suits you
@@opaz. Hello, I bought RCF HDM 45a and it sounds great
Later, I will test with an 18 inch sub.
Excellent
Wanted to buy the 945, now I'm not sure, I do lots of weddings 150-300 people average, what do you recommend for these events ?
What are you using at the moment Nick?
@@opaz. QSC K12.2
945 will be more composed, sound better than the 12.2 and at extreme output much more stable.
If you manage to get a demo also consider listening to the 745, you could save lots of $'s
If you've got a bigger budget listen to the HDM45, it's a fantastic buy

@@opaz. thank you for the info !
I would say 4 Rcf 745 mk4 with 2 subwoofers. I use Rcf and I was thinking to add 2 more speakers but idk about much about 945 since there is not many ppl talking about them. 745 I know they super good but a little pricey.
Would it be better 2 rcf 945 or 4 rcf 915 ?
What are you trying to achieve?
@@opaz.Power on high mid
Rcf 715 745 çok iyi
I was able to compare 945A vs 745A MK5... O boy... 745 kicke ass of 945. they're much louder and durable. 945 when heated just turn down the volume and definition of sound on 745 are better, you can fell that right away. I have no clue why are 945 so expencive and performance is dissapointing at that preice tag.
No way ?? Have you put this comparison on RUclips??
I don't need to. I play balkan music where we force all the speakers to their maximum. 745A MK5 is far more durable, powerfull and sustainable than 945A. That's the fact accept It or not. @@Poyraz-music-Serkan
Thank you this is what i just needed to read. I need something for live Turkish music and was not sure if I should go 745 or 945.
Merhaba abe,for oriental music where you need loudnes on kick, darabuke, tapani and combination Low+High frequencies with massive volume the 745A is the solution.945 kverheats and decrease a volume. Sellam brother
Thank you so much
