Ephesians 2:10 (ESV)
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Yes! His grace, and grace alone! We have no good works capable of earning salvation! Thank you for this new series. I pray it grows and reached more and more. Nice to see Mary too!
Peter, today is the first day I’ve watched your podcast. Such a blessing. I also live with a chronic disease and use a wheelchair, but God does use me for good works. I’m so thankful for his grace and that he prepares me and allows me to do good works even now.
Even in this comment you posted a year ago, you are lifting other up with your positive attitude. Thank you for being an example of God’s grace!
To me, works become a way to praise God. There is so little I can do on my own and yet sometimes, I'm amazed by what I can do. It's then that I realize, I can do nothing outside of His power grace and that because I can do the impossible, it is pointing others to Him and He is allowing me to praise Him for all He can do through me.
James 2:17 "In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. ....18: ...I will show you my faith by my deeds". Powerful stuff indeed.
As someone with chronic fatigue, Mary's input really spoke to me today. Thank you!
Amazing Peter and Mary! I’m in school right now to be a physical therapist assistant. I’ve always said that God did this! This was his plan! I’m so thankful that I can use my skills to help heal people but also interact with people daily and tell them about Jesus. God had my PTA journey in his hands from the very beginning almost 8 years ago! God is so good. Thanks for these daily messages Peter!

Hi Mary & Peter , Good morning :) Living in a ' not intended live ' because of many years of looking after my late mom & dad , I always knew in my heart that there was a master plan in place. My faith tells me it is still there , but maybe it has been being an advocate for rightful change , maybe its the fact that I can be beaten to the core and still find kind words to say to a person in need. I still 'think' I am waiting , maybe I am living His plan. More often than not , the plan is set and finished , and we are still looking for God`s plan , perhaps we have already performed the "one act" that took a lifetime of faith to be prepared for. I have a few different health issues along with chronic pain, and I too have days when I can't leave the house. As a result there are many times when I think pfffft, what can *I* do?!! So sometimes I simply text someone to ask how they are (especially if I know they're struggling) or I will buy food for a homeless person if I am out. And of course, I pray.

Julie Taylor same! Due to my many chronic illnesses and disabilities I don’t get out much. So I’m usually on my computer and talking to my bf who lives across the country. So I try to find ways I can still help people even if like you said just sending a text.

I love this. As a person confined to a wheelchair it's often viewed as letting me off the hook to help another person or there is no value in what I can do helping another. Also being so dependant on help by another person can and does result in them doing a good deed rather then helping me because they feel it's important to or it being something they want to. Some people just do it because it looks good.

What is it today...”God has prepared us to be a specific workmanship for the day”... with chronic illness, we often feel “inadequate”-SO many things that WE we have on our lists-ticking them off equals a marker of success/achievement-I know myself, I often feel that I fall short, & a failure-it’s SO reassuring that God knows us, our capabilities + capacity-SO reassuring to not feel a failure in God’s eyes🙏
God bless you Peter for your faithfulness. He has giving you a gift to share the Gospel. 🙏🙏. His Grace is sufficient.

Some questions for thought or “application” would take your message to the next level! For now i will use my journal and write all my thoughts as i think through your words ❤️ so so SO good. This verse was actually what brought me to Christ and inspired my first email address Faith. Alone. Saves.
