Hi it looks like my Primus ETA lite. It doesn’t heat the water quickly but it’s solid and my son likes it better than his Jetboil. Never seen it for sale yet in UK.
Goal was to make a windproof alcohol system that weighs less than an empty IsoButane canister. So far, Toaks 700 UL with 1/8" ceramic blanket externally-wrapped in 0.004" Ti (23g) up to handles and 1" below pot to trap heat, coupled with straight 0.004" Ti ground-windscreen (12g, made to fit in pot), Capillary-stove (7g) and eye-dropper fuel-bottle (20g) is the lightest system at 62g. Vs empty small IB-canister (100g). Blanket holds heat next to pot sidewalls, so it's way more thermal-conversion than heavier welded-fins, while blocking wind better than caldera-cones. 62g for the whole windproof alcohol system vs 100g for just the empty canister. Any thoughts?
@@FlatCatGear - Been looking for my anemometer on and off for hours. Don't have a great thermometer either. Might take a few days to get the answer to your excellent question.
@@robertgustavsson1920 - Took a 12g skirt titanium skirt around the pot on PCT. Scored it to slow the flow of air alongside the pot. Used 7g Myog'd stove and 32g Caldera-cone. Never used more than 1/2-oz of Heat to cook a meal.
Just received mine the other day. I'm disappointed in its two cup boil time big time.. Freaking 3 minutes and 35 seconds. I have a few BRS stoves and as this stove is built solid nice design and compact it is poor on the BTU's.
The whole system sells on Aliexpress for as little as £20, so even if you throw away the burner, the pot alone is the same as the Petrel G3, cheaper, and comes with the insulation sleeve. So for an alcohol set up, this is a good option.

Doesn't appear to have the pot stands even though it looks to have the holes for them.
What's the material of insulation cloth?
I assume that it is a form of neoprene
@@FlatCatGear it just looks like felt maybe on product photos. Just wonder 🤔
Interesting configuration. The twist lock looks like more trouble than benefit. I kinda like the sleeve though.

How does it perform in an 8 mph wind?

@@tomnoyb8301 How did it go?

Have you seen the juele bandit or thief yet? What are your thoughts?
I have seen them and have had discussions with Tyler. I'll test one when I get one.
Awesome, can't wait.
Does the BRS-3000t work with this?
Not really

So it's too heavy, inefficient, and expensive. No thanks.
Well, $28 for a stove and pot is not too expensive. Wait until you see the results in teh wind!
