I've been doing pressure washing for over 35 years not as a self employed person but for government departments namely the railways and now local council. Pressure washing is NOT just driveways, paths and decking for I started pressure washing railway locomotives inside and underneath with the water temperature at 95 degrees Celsius. It burns through the diesel but being the railways they had storage tanks of 500K litres of diesel so that wasn't a problem. You have to be able to melt and peel the thick grease off. Now for the council it is concrete paths, walls, floors and fixtures of toilet and BBQ facilities. With practice you learn how to spray and what you can get close it with the lance without the dirt and muck hitting you in the face. Good job there Jake and you'll improve with each job you do.
You can wear a clear face shield for jobs like the stairs to protect your face and eyes but still allow a good field of view. Congrats on your first deck clean!

That was a job for the round brush head. There wasn't enough pressure for a grooved floor. That's why you had to work so hard. But you stuck with it and the more you do the better you'll get.

I use a 4ft wand off of Amazon,and it helps tremendously on decks. It is good for tight corners on concrete too.
Next time try Monty Miracle you don't need to rinse first just spray on wait 20mins aggitate with soft broom if needed then rinse. Works for me every time x

Hey...just wondering what pressure washer you use?...the ´Bar´ pressure?...on board water tank? I need to buy a washer for general house walls, stone patio, car, motorcycle, basically everything...I´ve looked at the general purpose Karcher, Bosch etc but I get the impression they are a bit toy-ish...I wanna get right in there with no messing...so am looking for ideas beyond the general regular consumer brands...can you offer any info on what brands to be looking at ...? Cheers...
Hi Jason, as long as it's a reputable brand (honda, Loncin, Briggs and Stratton) and has a decent Litres Per Minute you will be good to go!
Look for nothing less than 15lpm if you are being serious about the kit and don't worry too much about the pressure. 200 bar is absolutely plenty and rarely needed. (Probably take the paint off your car 😅)
I don't have an on board tank but I do use a wheelie bin. I fill that from the customers water and then draw the water from that with my machine.
