Actually the Ho-I comes with APHE, HE, and *HEAT,* I've taken out Grants and even Shermans with this bad boi. It's the best BR2 Japanese tank by a landslide, and actually competitive for its BR unlike all other Japanese tanks.
Hey Quadro could you stop teaching people how to play Japan so I can maybe end my lose streak in the pacific?? My team just gets slayed whenever we're against Japan
Okay so I have played low tier Japan religiously and I will add my two cents to the topic. Personally I do prefer the Type 99 over the Type 38 simply because I fight the sights to be better, more accurate and overall faster to use. The type 38 has kind of a small front post on it's sight and it sometimes disappears a bit for me when I am doing rapid shots. This is completely personal preference and I always recommend every new player to buy 1 of each gun and bring them to the practice range to try to get a feel for it. Also the extra damage on the Type 99 is very nice at longer ranges Next, Type Hei, some people like it, some people hate it. Magazine size sucks, but it has very low recoil and pretty good sights, so it's very easy to land reliable double taps in very rapid succession. I tend to do pretty well with this gun and I feel like a lot of people underestimate it.
Same. The type 38 sight is hard to get used to for me so I tend to miss a lot. I would rather use the Murata, the golden weapon, than type 38 because at least it looks cooler even the sight is worse than the 38 and takes forever to reload. Also the type 2a smg never feel right to me. Always feel it lacks power so I use type 28 or type 100 early.
Highly disagree about the Type Hei rifle. I had heard it was not very good, but then I tried it out and was shocked. While its not 1-hit kill, it does down on almost every hit, allowing you take out a mid-sized squad with a single magazine pretty quickly before reloading to finish them off. It also has pretty good sights, IMO. I've been LOVING the Type Hei in BR2, more so than the M1 Carbine for the Allies. It does take some re-learning after using the Arisaka, though, as the bullet velocity seems to be noticeably smaller at long ranges.
@mattshriner4897 to me, that's every squad as a F2P player lol. The game heavily incentivizes aggressiveness so much that it's hardly worth not being aggressive unless you just don't want to win or score high.
Exactly, this thing is a monster in close ranges, if you can land your shots you’ll be able kill shotgun and smg users while still having medium range damage
I grinded the whole of the Japanese with BR2. The Hei rifle is my go to for rifles ( and it gets you accustom to the BR5 Hei automatic rifle). I find the MP28 to be the best (for me) SMG at BR2. I can easily take 2 squads out and still have ammo in magazine. The combination of Type 97 LMG and Type 11 LMG is deadly at all ranges. The 97 for medium range is a head shot monster, and accurate enough at long distance to get kills with a few shots. The way you can top up the magazine on the the Type 11 is handy and helpful for close up fighting. Special note: combine the MP28 and SIG 1920 for BR3 and you have so much ammo (they don't share it even though its the same ammo, so 150 rounds for each). The KE7 and Type 97 is also very deadly for BR3.
Counterpoint: Japanese vehicles are so bad (except for the zero) that free to play players could take the apc for Japan. Basically having four infantry squads. I like flying, but the zero can’t do much with the 60kg bombs and it feels useless unless you’re hunting enemy planes, in which case it’s the best dogfighter airplane at br2
Yey, for me, a bit late guide but no matter. I'm progressing faster, is all. Since the theme is Japan, which "premium" guns/weapons worth it for Japan? I'm asking because I'll soon get a free ticket for one but don't want to spend it on something that I'll regret later. The Nambu pistol sword is tempting but I want to know which one of those 5-ish is really worth it
8:07 fun fact: that's an icorrect model. The plane Gaijin got the inspiration from had its 20mm cannons' barrels cut off, in reality, the 20mm barrel would reach a bit over the propeller's nose
For the japanase? If you are talking of the gold orden weapon, basically the 2 machinguns are good opción, but the hotch is a good until you get the japanese bar in the tech tree
I bought a few Hotchkiss Machine guns to use for BR 2 Japan with my gold orders. I feel like its way better than either choice for machine guns at BR2. I went with the Hotchkiss because i didnt really like anything else I saw for Allies or Japan at BR2.
I only have the the Type A Sword Pistol, it almost never gets used because all my soldiers have the sword. I gave it to the Halloween Event AT gunner, he looks like a Samurai so let him have two swords. The Murata Type 22 is so slow on reload I think is should be a sniper rifle instead. High damage but not practical up close. Picked up a Hotchkiss in battle once, is ok. The FN Model 1930 is just the American BAR made under contract in Belgium. The two Hei rifles are basically the same as the tech tree Hei rifle, just with 10 round magazine. The SIG 1930 and Type 1 SMG seam like they would be good. But there are 4 SMGs in the tech tree with 50 round magazines. So really it kinda depends on how you play and what type of guns you use most.
@@Ezi_pzyes, the gold order weapons were what I meant. Thanks for the tip 😊 (RUclips didn't deliver any notification again... Sorry for late response)
I would take SA rifle over BA rifle any day any time. Type Hei allows for more aggresive playstyle, full upgraded will down anyone in 1 shot and fire rate of semi auto rifle comes handy in many more situations than hit power of bolt action. Actually Type Hei might be the best SA rifle at BR2 As for tanks Ho-I all the way. It is really potent for its BR. Granted, machine gun is cumbersome to use, as with most of japanese tanks but the armor protects from strafing planes and can bounce a shot or two. For the planes if you need to take 1 for a battle then A6M2, no question here. But if you can take 2 planes, then D3A1 is ok-ish. Somewhat worse version of Stuka but can deliver 250kg bomb nonetheless. And it has superb manouverability, as usual for japanese planes so it can be a tough to take it down once enemy starts to dogfight with you.
Only problem with the planes is that since they’re all great turnfighters, you’ll lose every time to a pilot that knows how to boom and zoom due to your piss poor engines
Since you're giving these japanese players some tips maybe you'd be kind enough to magic in the Super Pershing?? I know your content creator powers allow you to change the game!
maybe i just havent played enough Ho-Ni I but it seems inferior to Ho-I in every way that matters, Ho-I can still kill allied tanks of the same BR, from the front mind you, at the same time it has a good anti infantry capability and its crew cannot be gunned down by anyone who isnt directly in front of the tank, Ho-Ni I is a death trap and a nice point boost to the enemy team, any flanking infantry can kill it, anyone above it can kill it, enemy tanks can kill it, enemy planes with even the weakest guns can effectively kill it its probably? good but at the same time why use it when you have the Ho-I which can serve the same role (sitting and essentially spawn camping enemy armor) while also being capable of supporting infantry, hell you can kill planes with the pintle mounted machine gun, its mostly a waste of time but its funny
Dude is telling you use tanks he doesn't even use enough to know if they're good or not. The ho-i is great and gets access to HEAT rounds so it can punch through Sherman's and grants. It's by and large the better choice between it and the ho-ni.
Because before they doubled the damage, they did the same and it allowed Springfield users to be utterly assfucked by FG42 spam on Normandy, every single time. Since then, they've changed the design of the game from campaign to BR but haven't rolled back the change.
@@joaogomes9405 Balancing games like Call of Duty is a bad move. This game suposed to be realistic, and type of action in firearm do not lower damage. Just move all semi auto rifles in to tier 3 or 4, and give them bolt action damage.
