I have loved the Calico Log Ride since it opened in the Summer of 1969. I was 11 years old. I vividly remember riding it with my Dad and seeing the big drop for the first time, then going down…..I was hooked! Thank you Knott’s….this spooky version is really cool! Happy 55th birthday, CLR !
@@XtremeCoasters love your videos keep it up and also in the beginning when I was in the log ride I was 11 or 10 years old when we were in the dark cave in the log ride I was freaking scared and we dropped and I got tramatized and we when we about to go to the big drop my face was grinning and my sister was in the front and my sister was nonchalant after the ride was over my picture was damn embarrassing my sister was laughing hard as hell and I wasn’t laughing it was like this the whole time 😒😐🫤
@@XtremeCoasters El asserodero was the first log flume ride ever built at Six Flags over Texas and there were originally two. The first one started to decay in 2019 but the second one is still open.
Do they still have jump scare actors on this at night? I haven't been to Knotts Scary Farm since probably 1999, but the people trying to scare you on this ride always kicked it up a few notches. Still one of my favorite log flumes, regardless of the Halloween theming.
@@ambusticheats6637 The boat did seem to be travelling extremely fast the day we rode but didn't spot any broken animatronics. It was still a great ride regardless 🙂
We don't remember it being this fast, but this was the first time we've ridden it since the refurbishment. It was however flying around the course, it has some impressive speed for a log flume!
@kitty2777 You have to have permission to film it, even if you do have a secured GoPro, (this is how we filmed it). We had to ask the ride operator if it would be OK before boarding. As our GoPro was safely secured, we were given the OK, but not everyone is allowed to film.

I love the theming, even though the ride itself isn't the most exciting.
We really enjoyed both. But we love log flumes, especially on a hot day 😁

@mayramartinez5956 Unfortunately not. The line moves pretty fast however, the boats are constantly moving out of the station.

@P-_-S Not too sure as we didn't ride it in the evening. It was a little too cold for a soaking, and the line was massive.
