    Hi Dani. This was an ever changing situation on the roads on this trip. The roads/highways are constantly changing. Very cloudy day but the scenery was still very interesting to watch. Some fog in the higher elevations. Very steep hills to climb later in your video. Be careful of other drivers and stay warm and healthy. 👍👍👍

    10:25 nothing personal, but you drive with 80 km/h in a 50 km/h zone. In recent years there are many truck accidents in the villages, mainly because of speeding...

    • @DaniTruckerson
      @DaniTruckerson  Месяц назад +1

      Oh yeah I know, not much what I can do about it. Other trucks are going 80 and more, and whoever is going 50, then everyone are overtaking him in village, and it is even more dangerous when trucks are overtaking in village.

    That long stretch of road that was labeled as an airport was probably built for war times. There is a video of the Bundeswehr from ‘88 where they show F-4 Phantoms, C-160 Transalls, A-10 Warthogs and a few other planes landing on the autobahn.

    • @DaniTruckerson
      @DaniTruckerson  Месяц назад

      Yes exactly man, that's the same I thought, that they have built it for war times. Because place for it was just perfect, no trees, no buildings etc.

    HEy Dani, I guess you heard the news already but those crazy long waiting times will be a thing of the past, per 1st of january finally Bulgaria and Romania are part of Schengen!

    • @DaniTruckerson
      @DaniTruckerson  Месяц назад +1

      You need to remember that showing your ID and Load paperwork is not the only thing you are doing at the border. (Calafat and Ruse)
      First of all you are waiting in line to weigh area, where they are checking your weight and if you have Romanian vignette. I doubt that Romanian people will let it go.
      Second thing is you are stopping, going out from truck to bridge checkpoint, to pay for bridge, with cash or card, you wait for recipe, and then go to your truck and you can go.
      And those things have nothing to do with being in or out of Schengen.
      So I bet that line will be still there, but probably a bit shorter.
      It's going to be a long long time, to a point when crossing between Romania and Bulgaria will be so smooth like between Poland and Slovakia or Slovakia and Hungary.

    • @brilliantroads
      @brilliantroads Месяц назад

      @@DaniTruckerson Thanks for the clarification! It is unfortunate to see that all those manual steps are limiting a smooth crossing for transport...
      My dad's an international driver as well but never as far as Bulgaria/Romania

    • @johnr3599
      @johnr3599 Месяц назад

      @@DaniTruckerson The bridge crossing at Calafat can be improved. There is another bridge over the Danube in Romania where we pay for the bridge via SMS, Internet or at gas stations. A single fee must be established for trucks, whether they are loaded or empty. Also, now the vignette can be paid electronically for cars and can be checked by TV cameras. The system can be extended to trucks. There are strong professional associations of road transporters in Romania that can ask the authorities to implement these measures.

    • @DaniTruckerson
      @DaniTruckerson  Месяц назад

      @@johnr3599 yes they should implement it fast, and Bulgarian people can integrate payment for the bridge with those boxes that they have for Road tax.
