I keep a 5 gallon bucket near the kitchen and all banana peels and egg shells go into it ~ when it's a lovely, semi-stinky sludge it is used to fertilize the garden -> just layer it at base of plants (not touching) with a garden trowel and viola !!
Times unfortunately aren't like they used to be. Folks like to keep to themselves and I guess I don't blame them. I wish we could get back to those days!
As a man of God, I hate to be the devil’s advocate, but personally I’d be concerned with the chemicals in the cardboard possibly leaching into my food. 🤷
That's a great point brother and something that should be considered. From what I've researched cardboard by itself is safe but some folks have concerns about glue and stuff from recycled boxed. One of the reasons we bought basic cardboard rolls from Amazon without all that.

THE SOIL NEEDS TO BE ABOUT 12 TO 15 INCHES DEEP FOR POTATOES, CORN, CARROTS. TOMATOES, NOT SO DEEP FOR GREEN BEENS, MELLONS, SQUASH AND PEPPERS.
Thanks for the input! You should check out Charles Dowding's content on no dig gardening. Very good info with proven success using this method.
