    The 110 all in one VCO/VCF/VCA module or the 112 dual VCO, that is the question!

    I have two 112s and really enjoy them. But I didn't know about the square wave coming out of the sync... thanks for the tip! Makes perfect sense in retrospect.

    Thanks for your video, I really liked your demos. They gave me a good idea of how good these VCOs can sound.

    @11:38 that sounds really good, I've got about a dozen or so behrigner modules including the Moog seq and most of the Arp modules, I have not had a single issue with any of them, knock on wood.

    Decent? I've recently added this module to my system and I love it, I'm very impressed with this module, I'd call it impressive

      well, I cycled through "impressive", "awesome", "fat", etc... somehow I stopped at decent. But you're right, impressive it is!

      @@synthesizer83 Yeah I'm really excited about the pwm and the sync, I've never dove into fm synthesis but I get it now

      @@synthesizer83 Is there a way where i can Gate the sound to stop it from ongoing ?

    Very nice! I had an original Roland 100m system back in the day. Resisting the temptation to recreate it - although now much, much more affordable - nostalgia ain't what it used to be 😀

    • @synthesizer83
      @synthesizer83  3 года назад +3

      If you spot something that was different with the original (or something I got wrong), just leave a comment! I already found some bugs (not in the 112 actually), so I suspect that B. didn't thoroughly tested the circuits.

    • @IanWaugh
      @IanWaugh 3 года назад +3

      @@synthesizer83 That seems to be par for the course for B 😀 It's too long ago for me to recall details but Tim Shoebridge covered some modules and one thing which sticks is that the sequencer has no Range function and seems to be set to 10 octaves! (The original had 3 Range settings.) That would mean the knob will have 120 (or is that 130) steps to it so good luck trying to tune it to a particular note 😱

    • @synthesizer83
      @synthesizer83  3 года назад +2

      @@IanWaugh Yep thats true, that switch is missing and tuning is impossible unless you attenuate your cv before it goes onto a pitch or so. Good thing though with the System 100 is that all modules have cv mixers with attenuators, so the range problem is not too serious.

    • @IanWaugh
      @IanWaugh 3 года назад +1

      @@synthesizer83Yes, the 100m was well-designed I think, and there are always work-arounds in modular 😀 But a really odd faux pas by B. At least set it to 5 octaves. At best, put a jumper on the board. Just weird.

    I forgot to add a scope to visualize the mixed waveforms from the sync output trick (8:55). Here is this section with scope: ruclips.net/video/DaNqef0AAlQ/видео.html

    Great video. I’d recommend this module for any eurorack user as a way to get 2 great sounding analog VCOs for a great price. The entire system 100 series is fantastic and I actually prefer these to the Moog and style modules.

    Two very decent VCOs at a very reasonable price. My series 100 ASDR was faulty, but this has been trouble-free…

    I have heard issues with tracking and tunning with the 112. Have you had to adjust any trimmers on your unit? Also I have heard the green colored pcb versions are 'more stable' in this regard? Any thoughts?

    • @synthesizer83
      @synthesizer83  3 года назад +6

      I have no issues with the oscillator (yellow pcb), the tracking is fine and it doesn't really drift. Holds for the 110 synth voice as well. I have read somewhere that Behringer fixed the tracking and stability issues in the current version of the 112 module.

    I'm using this with my '2500' modules', because you can't the '2500' 'Oscillator' in the U.S.,at the moment!They sound great and 'track' control-voltage,well! : )

    What is the difference between output 1 and 2?

    • @synthesizer83
      @synthesizer83  Год назад +2

      There isn't any. It's just a handy feature as you don't need a multiple if you want that OSC at two destinations.

  • @BrancoArgenta
    @BrancoArgenta Год назад

    how does it go to cv and gate?

    • @synthesizer83
      @synthesizer83  Год назад +2

      Cv is as you would expect, with 3 inputs for 1V/octave. A gate does not really have its destination here, you would rather use it to trigger envelopes or similar.

    of ourse it sounds impressive, its a roland ripoff lol. I own a behringer sequencer too, so iam not against behringer per se but they just steal stuff and resell it so nothing to praise here

      Everything to praise here. They make it affordable. Roland could do it but they don't do fuck them
