I stayed in Station Basti till 1999. I remember crossing the rail tracks with my siblings and cousins to go to Montessori school by walk. Railway station was fully functional during those days. Lots of goods trains and 2 passenger trains per day. Its so terrible to see it being devastated and no govt tried to renovate this. It's one of the oldest railway station in our country. Infact the first railway station the East India Company started to transport Coal. So much of History behind this. Station platform medha close to ticket counter oka pedha Raavi chettu undedhi. Lots of memories around this station. 🤩😍 miss those days.
