Awesome video! I had never heard of anything other than cation exchange (and in the context of CEC) nor did I realize that it was only theoretical. Mind. Blown.

Theory? Are you saying we still don't know how exactly plants get their nutrients from soil?

    Kurzgesagt!?

  • @internaltissues5648

so cool how seemingly inanimate subatomic particles can arrange themselves into DNA code and complex structures which can then interact organically with elements (other arrangements of neighboring subatomic particles) in the soil to augment themselves into other negative entropy complex structures. heck, consciousness itself is just an organized arrangement of electrical energy which itself is comprised of these charged subatomic particles...there has to be some latent characteristic within the inanimate that gives rise to these animated interactions and lifeforms, i'd argue there is no such thing as truly inanimate.

I think that if you get your minerals from plants then they have already been processed for human use. Probably not the case with supplements

I took a regenerative farming class and they emphasized that roots can only absorb nutrients from the root tips. That's why plants with a bad root system will likely die within the first few years of their lives or they will not make it during a drought/ other environment struggles. They suggested doing air pruning when propagating or planting seeds to ensure the highest absorption of nutrients and therefore a higher survival rate.
