I'm a novice really but it took me a couple of years to realize color names are often just what the paint maker decides. I wish I could have known this starting out. Now I can recognize them just by looking. It wasn't always that way. Thanks for your videos by the way.
Hey Chris, I'm new to watercolor this is probably the most informative video I've ever seen. and it's really going to help me as a beginner and all the beginners out there thanks for taking your time and putting a video out there like this one.
Chris, if I make a suggestion. You arrange those color in your fashion but beginers may want to arrange the same way, but to identify each color may be difficult because on screen many look the same. Do a short video. Number each position in the pallet, then number each colors in the new pallet, then show which color number goes in which position number and it would be easier for beginers to identify which colour you are using in your custom Dixon pallet. Just a thought.

You always give good advice and tips. I learn so much from your videos. Thank you !!!
Thank you for keeping everything accessable. And that when you paint the process is easy to follow even if I have to stop and back up.

You're very welcome! 👍😎
Burnt umber is a nice mixing colour.
Super helpful. What a great teacher!
Why an I only seeing 15 instead of 16 colors just like the previous video from 2 months ago did I miss you saying you were skipping one?
White might be self explanatory!
White might be the issue but I didn't think it was the skipped color.
You missed a color Chris….between the Prussian blue and lavender.
I have seen these at Staples.

He has a whole video on his color arrangement, swatches and comparison alternatives if you want to buy tubes of professional paint.
Excuse me but you have forgotten à color.
❤❤❤😃🇨🇵
In you video you rearrange colors in 😊 do you do it and what order?
Why do they give you white in palettes? I mean supposedly/commonly the use of the white paper is how white is achieved.
White with a colored hue can give you a pastel.
I use it for atmospheric effects,… haze, mist, fog, highlights, smoke…. It’s up to each artist I’m thinking 👍😎
