Everybody kept praising Nash on this Suns team (and well deserved, no doubt) but it was the Matrix who was doing it all: defense, scoring, rebounding, running the floor... He was a major catalyst in the Suns' effective run and gun offense.

Run back the numbers and he was arguably the best player on that 05 squad. Even Amar'e had better overall numbers. Nash was the floor general and leader on offense so that bumps his value. But, that was a big 3 if there ever was one. And it's not certain that Nash was the best player on the team during those mvp seasons.

@@J-Hue That's a fair point to make if you're looking only at the numbers. And the numbers never tell the whole tale. The thing with Marion was that he would never put his ego before the team, which is why he stepped up his game when Amare was lost for the season and someone was needed to carry the team.
