in my case your radio is nothing more than a 2 mile child locater as it is rated at a 1/2 watt radio put a block wall between your radios and you cant talk to eather at one block range
On that first radio you mentioned, yes it has a carabiner hook but it is always shown with a lanyard. Why. For me, it is just one more thing to get tangled. Does it come with the lanyard?
no Rockie uses's that as a selling point mine have belt clips I put it in to a pouch on my back pack clip mike to holder strap and go with extra battery's for all three radios to take me through the all day event I am working
there are 22 channels on family service only then add the dummie codes which mean nothing what thay realy do is lock two radios together to talk to only your two radios but hear is a big suprise we will still hear you only so where is the privet it is call sail's HIPE these guys don't care about you all thay want to do is SELL SELL SELL junk that's all.

unless you are on G M R S which does 20 miles kiddy band is a half of a watt 12 blocks on a good day there is your short range. rugged radio sell the same radios for hand held's but thay left out dum codes and F R S channel's 15 through 22 are the off repetater channels we use
here is my thought IN the world of kid's radio's there all the same every radio on the market are all built the same half a watt and 5 watts every radio will talk to each other regardless of the builder there all under F C C rules and reg. change the antenna no change your still at a half a watt just leae it alone and work with it want to go farther go G M R S that will get you 20 miles or more and my radios do not have the privecy codes just plain F R S going with a group fine pick a channel and go real simple
This is mixed with frs or normal walked talkies and gmrs radios. Doesn’t make sense to blend the two one requires a license and is a 5 watt. Also this is very wrong real world testing videos online are very clear that your picks are in a bad order.
