Richard Dix was, I believe in silent movies in Westerns. He was one of the first Western movie heroes. Enjoy.

Jane Wyatt 31, Lee J. Cobb 30 are the same age Wyatt has a couple funny scenes. Max Baer 32, Jr.'s father Jethro Bodine (of) which here I thought at least 40, he died 1959 at only 50. I only mention the age is that Cobb 33 played Sinatra's 40's father in Come Blow Your Horn (?)

Albert Decker as a good guy. That's unusual.

Dekker was a bit odd in his personal life apparently...
On May 5, 1968, Dekker was found dead in his Hollywood home by his fiancée, fashion model and future Love Boat creator Jeraldine Saunders. He was naked, kneeling in the bathtub, with a noose tightly wrapped around his neck and looped around the shower curtain rod. He was blindfolded, his wrists were handcuffed, there was a ball gag in his mouth, and two hypodermic needles were inserted in one arm. His body was covered in explicit words and drawings in red lipstick.
Money and camera equipment were missing, but there was no sign of forced entry. Police originally said it was suicide but the deputy coroner found no evidence of foul play nor any indication that he planned to take his life and ruled his death accidental, the result of autoerotic asphyxiation. Dekker was cremated, and his remains interred at the Garden State Crematory in North Bergen, New Jersey.

Buckskin Frontier is the correct title for this movie. His previous movie was called American Empire.

They never did know what to do with Jane Wyatt and Lola Lane. Both of them were better than good and in some movies they were radiant in their respective kinds of roles.

Richard Dix was a man's man. Not a pretty boy. He was a really good actor. Albert Dekker played mostly supports, and should have had a better career.

Richard Dix & the beautiful . & white western. Plenty of other good actors from that era too. Excellent quality on both fun & sound. Very enjoyable movie to watch. Probably watch it a couple more times this week!

7:50 Mr. Marr was right. If only more saw it and heeded his words. Sadly even he and Gideon became corrupted.
