Being late is so fun ngl, but someone in another comment section had said that they believe the reason why Asgore destroyed the mercy button is the same reason you put, they said that all the monsters refer his name in yellow, while Toriel and Undyne refer his name as red because Toriel sees him as a monster and Undyne sees him as a fierce leader. So this would make a lot of sense, Asgore doesn’t want to fight you, but he has to, for the sake of the underground.
Actually, the screen borders of the screen prevented the trident from going through, meaning that he wasn't able to destroy the save in playlist option
I always preferred Asgore's theme to other monsters' like Sans and Undyne because of the more melancholy and emotional tone. Other themes, especially genocide route themes, embody determination, and a will to fight or confidence and epicness, while Asgore's theme better portrays sadness and guilt while still maintaining the determined sound that all boss themes have in Undertale
Asgore+Bergentrückung is one of my absolute favorite songs from Undertale (and maybe one of the best songs I've ever heard in a videogame, in my opinion, of course), and your cover makes perfect justice to the original. Great job!
I hate that Undertale got such a bad reputation by it's fans. It's such a good game and this song still gives me goosebumps to this day! This whole fight really captures everything the pacifist route is about.

It utilises repetition in the best way possible, it's the songs best feature and it's what makes it so damn catchy That, in tandem with its amazing melody, which is simple yet enticing and it doesn't overpower the rest of the song, overall it's one of the best tracks in undertale in my opinion
My favorites were always Your best friend/Nightmare, Heartache, and Asgore. And now, with Deltarune, my other favorites are Field of Hopes and Dreams, Scarlet Forest, The Legend, and Chaos King. They are so different between them, each containing different emotions... Toby really is a genius

I think my favourite thing about your remixes is that you give the piece your original sound, but keep all the notes from the original intact. Some remixes change the notes for whatever reason and 8/10 times it just _doesn't_ work. You don't mess with that, you don't have to. Your 8-Bit music renditions are perfect!
Asgore didnt want to hurt anybody. He never wanted to have to kill another human being. Asgore has a heart, Asgore loves. Asgore wanted Toriel back, Asgore wanted his son back. Asgore wanted his people to believe in him once again. Asgore didnt want to kill anybody so he said he would kill 7 humans who dropped down and use their souls to escape the underground, hoping that NO human would ever fall down. But it was prophecy that they would. So they did. Asgore DEEPLY did not want to kill you. But he knew he had to. Toriel on the other hand wanted Asgore to take one human soul and leave the underground by himself and decimate the humans and then break the barrier for the monsters. Asgore cant help the want to ask you if you would like tea. Because it's in his nature to love. Asgore destroys the mercy button because he believes he doesnt deserve mercy after what he has done. He wants there to be a final winner. He wants it all to be over. He just wants to see his wife... he just wants to see his son. So you can kill him, and take his soul, saving yourself. Or he can kill you, take your soul, and save everyone. Or maybe... Just maybe... There might be another way ;)
GhastlyMainframe well, obviously she didn’t *want* him to kill anyone, but she did make it a point to mention that he could’ve left the underground after collecting just one soul, then got the other six from already deceased humans and destroy the barrier that way
this is personally my most favorite song in UNDERTALE. It makes me feel like I am fighting a final boss while this song's melody tells me that he is the husband of Toriel, who was so kind to me in the RUINS. I really like the 8-bit cover, good job!
