You just gave away my secret spot for fireworks. That cabin was for the marshmallow mash and that is the bat house. I've been camping there since the late 70's. I could tell you a lot about that place.
The cabin is from the long gone Marshmellow Marsh canoe and fireworks activity. Just beyond the cabin was the Wilderness Swamp Trail boardwalk. Recent visitors will never get to experience the Fort at it's peak.
Loved this. Thank you. I can not imagine being so close to the parks and not going to them. That is the difference level living nearby (not in another Country) affords you. Not looking to trade places, just when we go for ten days or two weeks, we feel we need to fit it all in bc we know a) pd huge money to be there and b) it will be awhile b4 we can come back. Our last trip to the Cabins was 2020. They needed to be replaced by then. The new buildings look very comfortable.
The cabin by the beach is where the primitive sites use to be for fort wilderness. My brother was a boyscout in the late 90s early 2000s and they camped there often!
I said it before and I’ll say it again… you guys are my fav RUclipsrs/ people in general. You guys are so awesome! And funny! I frequent the parks semi often (live in Georgia) but I’m always on the look out for you guys in the park. Just to say hi and say you guys are great. I love the home vlogs and life vlogs just as much as park content. Never change and continue what you guys do, forever, you guys are never allowed to stop 😂😂
Humming Davey Crockett... lol That is my connection to Disney. My Great Aunt Hulda married Dean Crockett... Great Great Grandson of Davey Crockett. ❤ I have such fond memories of our Ft. Wilderness stays when I was a kid. I would love to stay in one of the new cabins.
my Disney connection is via the Apple dumpling gang movies, no deposit no return, Gus, herbie goes to Monte Carlo, hot lead cold feet, chicken little and air buddies. My grandmothers cousin 💙. He really should be a Disney legend.
My highlight of this video where Tim discovers the other pans in the draw of the stove lol. But what really steals the part of the videos are Jackson and Oliver's laugh and smiles. Icing on the cake
Man. I remember staying at Fort Wilderness in our RV growing up. Back in the day when River Country was a thing! You could also swim in Bay Lake back then. Lots of beach and spots back then. It was a roped off swim area so it was “safer” lol…but man…it was a different world! I’m glad that it is still good ole Fort Wilderness! Thanks Trackers
We had a “magical moment” from a cast member who gave us a private tour of Bay Lake once! That stilted shed in the 17 min mark is a bat house! They house bats to help keep the mosquitos down on Bay Lake
Too bad it doesn't leave till 3pm now. We used to catch it for a day at MK. Just a quick walk from the Contemporary to the gate. The usual boat to the MK doesn't get there early enough for all the rope drop festivities.
I've truly enjoyed watching & being a part of your stays at the forts! Not having stayed there I must say I prefer the "old log cabin" look. Are all of the old ones being replaced? Anywho, thanks for allowing me to be a part of your lives! Continue to enjoy one another & be blessed! 💜🤟🙏🥰
Some people don’t want to cook on vacation but for me personally for some reason I enjoy it (and laundry too!). It’s not fun at home but for some reason cooking at Disney is fun! Plus it’s cheaper and likely healthier than park food.
it has been awhile since ive been at fort wilderness but if I recall correctly the other trail that leads off from the beach is an old nature walk trail. I recall going on it way back when river country was open. it has since fallen into disrepair but you can do a little of it still. I have many found memories of staying there when I was young and more of when I took my daughter. I now have 2 grandchildren and can't wait to take them and make more memories at the fort. the campground song alongs are great. I recall some of the much older cabin layouts. I think the first one we stayed in was layed out like my grandmas single wide trailer, another one had a galley kitchen in the hall.
We have stayed at Disney cabins many times and loved the experience. However, the new cabins look even better! I’d be very happy to stay at Fort Wilderness instead of one of the hotels for our next trip. Can’t wait. Good job, Disney!
I have Never done chips & dip for breakfast before in my life, never even thought of it. I've done lots of other stuff for breakfast over my time, fr9m cheesecake, to leftover Chinese fried rice, to hot dogs, to both pizza and/or lasagna, usually not together, and often either cold or warmed. One of my Dad's specialties was if we had any leftover spaghetti in pasta sauce, or roting in pasta sauce, he'd take that and saute it up in a frying pan in melted butter, and we'd eat that for either breakfast or lunch. The very 1st time I ever remember him making that for me was when I was about 3 or 4 years old, it was early morning in like May or June in New Jersey where I grew up, and my Dad was taking me fishing with hi, on the lake that we lived about 10 minutes away from by car, and that's what Dad made for each of us to eat from breakfast that morning before we left to go fish, was the leftover sautéed spaghetti , and I don't know if it was because I was still tired, or maybe I was truly hungry or a bit of both, or what but it was delicious, and clearly something that my memory has held onto from That long ago, for all that time, for what it's worth, I recently had my 59th birthday, and Dad's been passed now since 12/ 1992.
My favorite part of my mother daughter trip was we went to hoop de doo and I some home timed it, to where our whole boat ride back to MK the fireworks were going off and it was amazing!
Hi Trackers! Fort Wilderness looks like soooo much fun! Maybe that tall half building is a faux bear box? Oh wait you just answered the question. lol. Have fun!😍
That area that you found for fireworks is usually the spot they will take you on the fireworks hay ride for special events fireworks like New Year's and the Fourth of July. They set up speakers so you can hear the audio too.
I would love to see a new silver dollar city vlog!! They have cabins that you can stay at as well in Branson!! And new rides at silver dollar city!! I think you all would enjoy it🫶 leyton says hi!
Our first trip to the fort was in 2002 and a premium campsite was around $45/night. We would stay for a week or two every fall. We did that for almost 20 years. Now, Its up over $250/night. Its just become too pricey for us working class folk. We've dropped a lot of $$$ there over the years. Sadly, Disney has become a place for the "well-to-do" only. Enjoy!
You should do another fishing excursion and bring Jackson! I just know he would love going fishing. Could do a father son trip day with Nick and his kids since they love fishing too!
How has Tim been liking the Rayban Metas with all the rain? I got a pair and have been enjoying them, but have been scared to wear them lately with all the sudden rainstorms. Have they gotten wet, do they still work if so? Y'alls content is great, and glad you enjoyed the cabins!
You just gave away my secret spot for fireworks. That cabin was for the marshmallow mash and that is the bat house. I've been camping there since the late 70's. I could tell you a lot about that place.
Ok, Oliver is officially Tim's mini-wheee! That was so cute!
The cabin is from the long gone Marshmellow Marsh canoe and fireworks activity. Just beyond the cabin was the Wilderness Swamp Trail boardwalk.
Recent visitors will never get to experience the Fort at it's peak.
I remember the Marshmellow Marsh! And loved walking the Wilderness Swamp Trail and riding the train back in the 70's! :))
Came here to say this, that and the other is the bat house.
Thank you tim and jenn for showing the fort wilderness ❤❤❤
OMG EXPLOSIVES AND BATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love all your Fort vlogs, but I am absolutely loving this Fort staycation series! Thank you so much for taking us along! 🏕️💛
Cook your bacon in the oven! It comes out so crispy and less messy!
You said it first!
Yep, that’s the only way I cook bacon 🥓
Cook the bacon in the microwave between 2 sheets of absorbent paper for a few minutes. It's crispy and less fat.
So nice to see you respecting the wildlife. Thanks for showing us around!
Thank you for just wandering around the fort Tim. Brought back old memories of staying at the fort when I was younger. 😊
Good times..I miss the old Days of Disney with Discovery Island & River Country.
I was born in 79. I feel so old when you said the train has been closed for a long, long time. 😂😂
Your videos make me happy. I am so grateful for you both.

I think my husband and I had campsite 329 a few years ago. One morning, I walked out towards the water and there was a herd of deer.

My husband and I camped at Ft Wilderness when the train was running. Good times ❤
What happy boys you have, a wonderful family. Also love the umbrella xx
Those charcoals were real survivors 💪🏽

I actually don’t mind these new cabins. Hope to stay one day

Keep in mind that the boat to the contemporary will also give you quick access to the monorail. We prefer that over waiting on a bus for epcot
Too bad it doesn't leave till 3pm now. We used to catch it for a day at MK. Just a quick walk from the Contemporary to the gate. The usual boat to the MK doesn't get there early enough for all the rope drop festivities.
I feel like me and my siblings grew up in the Fort, and this makes me so happy to see this ! Reminds me of my childhood
I saw that perfect firework spot while on the wagon ride September 2023 after the Hoop-Dee-Doo Review. And yes it was awesome.
Yall look like you had the best time I'm glad you did love ❤You guys so so much 🥰
Best part of adulthood is 7am smores
We did the firework cruise. It was amazing. Even for the whole entire family.
I would love to see you guys go camping at a national or state park! I think the boys would love that.
Do Hoop De Doo with the boys!!! I bet it would be so funnn!
Great Vid!! Fun stayy!
The key to those pans is to get them scorching hot. If water jumps and beads up it's ready.
Love all your videos so much, you are the best vloggers handsdown! ❤🙌

Ok, you’ve convinced me. We need to book a stay!
What a beautiful umbrella! ❤
Looks like u had a fun last day at ft. Wilderness. The new cabins look so comfortable
The pool had some fun games that day! We loved the coconuts and shells coconuts and shells😂

Explosives + bats = magical night! 😂
I loved the video... you are wonderful. May God bless your family so much
I hope Tim did the Dad check and got the toys out of the storage bin in the living room.
Great stat guys boo to the rain at times hopefully next time for Chip and Dale ❤
really enjoying this new cabin staycation series! Can't wait for us to make our own memories in future

Do the Gators know about that fireworks viewing spot?! 🐊
1:00 the way I LOLed! 😂😂😂 that’s something I would do. Everything is always hindsight with me. That was funny. I’m not judging y’all at all.
This seemed like such a fun vacation ♥️ xxx
You are true campers.....you are constantly cooking and eating...lol
My kind of folks!!😂
17:27 really gave jack skellington vibes lol
I’m at fort wilderness right now 🎉 I’m keeping my eye out for

That dock you found at 17:22 might be the old discovery island
I was so happy you could have your cookout🎉

Is the oven top a hidden Mickey or am I just always seeing Mickeys?
This wants to make me take my dad to the fort. He’s never been but always loves camping with us.
@@FlowercityFursuits It is so nice. Worth the money.
Great video! Love exploring the fort. Pretty sure the tall house structure is a bat house for the mosquitos.
If you go to that back area for fireworks make sure you put on bug spray. We watched from back there on one of our trips and got eaten alive!
You can “bake” your bacon saves time and skillets
Love my Ryobi Clamp fans
Love watching your videos. My grandson who is 6 is determined to meet Jackson and Oliver when we go to WDW 😂
love u guys have a beautiful week...🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Happy Thursday, Tim!
The 🌎 is our 🌴
It's true! :-)
COOK THE BACON IN THE OVEN!
The tall structure on stilts at 18:00 is actually a massive bat house, go there at dusk to see thousands of bats fly out.
You guys should go to the Disney Resort in Hilton Head!
If you've ever been on a FW hayride, chances are, you've stopped at that spot with the clearing to watch the fireworks. We have at least twice.
do you know bacon doesnt have to spread out to get crispy, you could cook it jumbled in a saucepan, But you can also bake it
I would love to see a new silver dollar city vlog!! They have cabins that you can stay at as well in Branson!! And new rides at silver dollar city!! I think you all would enjoy it🫶 leyton says hi!
If i remember correctly we use to do the marshmallow marsh at those cabins. It started with a canoe trip and ended there.

I wonder if Stitch will graduate again next year. Maybe do the accelerated college program 😅
Never ever have I been so so early
We really want to stay there in the cabins or a rented RV. Just not sure when we can make it happen. It looks like you guys had a great time.
Love you guys!!
Based on his coloration, that birdy guy was an anhinga 🐦
You should do another fishing excursion and bring Jackson! I just know he would love going fishing. Could do a father son trip day with Nick and his kids since they love fishing too!

Please tell me you got the umbrella
We didn't and I regret it 😫
@@TheTimTracker just also little Oliver climbing off the sofa so cute, he was so proud of his self. Sending love and best wishes from the uk 🇬🇧 🥰✌️
The map that's featured on that umbrella is actually on the ceiling of the store at the end of Flight of Passage.
You should cook your bacon in the oven. Eggs does well also.😊
Sunnyside up eggs?
@@BarbaraHoward-qw1df yes you can google how to 😊

I got a pair and have been enjoying them, but have been scared to wear them lately with all the sudden rainstorms.
Have they gotten wet, do they still work if so?
Y'alls content is great, and glad you enjoyed the cabins!
It’s hard to tell Tim it could have been maybe water country no sure by your cam and the direction minus compass bearing
Do you intend getting a trailer and taking Charlie to the Fort next time?
Those types of pans need to be preheated to a high heat to be nonstick. Google can show you examples.
Is that price per person or boat for the fishing and fireworks?
Are there sheet pans? Just line the bacon up on one and bake at 400 for like 10/15 minutes. That’s how us chefs do it!
Changing of the lifeguards? Never heard of it.
You need a griddle 😂👍
