Thank you for putting out this amazing content, eventough I flashed and configured Betaflight numerous times It's always a blast to follow you through proces. I was probably not flying if you weren't around on YT a couple of years ago !
I’ve probably watched both these videos at least 25 times. Referencing back to other videos with questions I have. And you nail it dude! Thanks for posting these helpful videos! Cheers to my first build! Now to go simulate until spring! 😎
Hi Josh I just finished my build yesterday and I had the chance to fly it twice, but I still need to tune mine. I just can't wait until I am finished with it and see what I can RIP up ! Thanks again for the build and setup videos.
I'm shocked! The TPU parts aren't purple!! I even waited for an Amazon delivery of some Sainsmart Violet to make sure mine matches LOL (and it might be my new favorite TPU color...guess I should've bought the big roll)
👏Your so happy at the end of this video. I'm glad you shared such true emotion with us. I'll be putting mine together this weekend if my motors get here.🤘
well.... one compromise. No devil horns so the frame was low enough cost to include in the FPVCrate box. Really wish I could have paid an extra $5 for the box and just got the good arms. Also don't love the lack of battery strap holders. would have happily given up a gram so my straps weren't dragging over the top of my stack all willy nilly..... Overall though, this frame is flying like a DREAM. I am using the ring 2 2306 1755kv and a mamba f722/f50 pro-32 stack with a vista and it flies *really* nice.
The Rush Solo vtx table has a minor error that will prevent it going into Max power, last powervalue should be 32 rather than 31: vtxtable powervalues 14 26 29 32
Love 💘 the build and the software.... i am from MiddleEast and planning to buy my owns drones and all the stuff.. if you can help me as beginner to start .. i don't have any problem with my budget.. .thanks 😃
Actually the change went the other way. Originally it was like you see it here but then I changed it to go between the camera plate. This was recorded before I made that change.
You could still shave some weight down by using just a couple of ummagrip strips instead of that big fat large pad. U really don't need that much to hold a battery down securely.
@@AerialWaviator I agree. I run the hero 6 with the iflight power cable, and removed the battery bay and side doors. It dropped the weight from 117gm down to 91gm.
I run a hobbywing 60A ESC with your F7 fc and no problem but my friend is running your F7 and ESC stack and the motors and the bottom of the frame under the stack would be really hot. Maybe that was the problem, I say was because he had to get another ESC. Maybe that wasn't or was the problem but maybe do a follow up on the high and low PMW because I didn't see why not to do it just that it wouldn't be a problem. Thanks for all your help with us builders.
@@JoshuaBardwell well if you are certain it will fit I will give it another shot but I gave it a pretty good go the first time ! Thanks for the reply btw
No that's definitely not possible. The metal case of the Vista is more than strong enough for this situation. Check your camera wire to see if it has become unplugged or gotten damaged during the install. Check both at the Vista and at the camera. Another thing to check: if you used M2 screws that are too long, they could have gone into the camera and damaged the board. But the M2 screws that come with the Vista camera should be fine.
Is this a joke? Do you actualy want to brand that biuld with your name Joshua? 1. cables touchin the gyro, add a battery belt and it squizes it more adding vibrations 2. power cables not zip-tied to anything - one crash with battery ejection and bye bye esc pads 3. power cables squized between standof and FC board ...like wtf man, where is the quality?
2:47 "Sometimes the motors beeps set off the smoke stopper."
This has just solved what I thought was an actual problem with an old build.
Thank you.

Perfect timing, I just took lunch!
Hey JB, that power meter is only able to take up to +30dBm (1w) the vtx is max 32dBm (1.6w) - be careful!
Love it just finished this build used the f40 motors, vista

Is the battery in that gopro? I could have sworn that the hero 8 is about 120g
Exploding pbj props, definitely a must
Love how you chose IRC Ghost 👻 I'm flying it now and absolutely love it. It's doing everything I would do with CRSF and faster!
Finally. I have been wanting to find out your rates for so long. Awesome video.

Nice build, and build video.
Looking forward to seeing your smile after the 5th, or 10th pack. Happy flying! 😎

Can you do a quick video showing how you updated your filter settings to Chris Rosser’s settings?
Any word on the updated pids did you get them tuned perfect? Thank you!
do you see the props in the video while flying? if yes, is there a frametype which solves this?
Still waiting for a few a parts to be in stock but really looking forward to getting this all together!
Starting my build this weekend, can't wait :)
I'm building mine this days thank u for the video.

Oscar has already fixed this error and the text in my video description is also correct. So I didn't mention it further.
7:40 if you watch this in the future, after Betaflight 4.3 comes out, the motor remapping process is much simpler. they are adding a gui tool
Which goggles do i need to buy for this build ? And what is the flight time?
Awesome build Joshua. I want one .
Beautiful work, Joshua! Really nice! 😃
The washers, that's a pretty good practice!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
where is the smoke stopper link?
Im a newbie and going to build this drone but shouldn't the antenna be the white LHCP? I thought the dji patch/stubby combo is LHCP or am I wrong?
The antenna you see is the stock Vista antenna. It's LH polarized.
Thanks so much for the quick reply and love all your content. Definitely helping me a lot to get into this hobby!
You keep teasing me with that build.. I'll have mine done Monday when my parts get here..
Love 💘 the build and the software.... i am from MiddleEast and planning to buy my owns drones and all the stuff.. if you can help me as beginner to start .. i don't have any problem with my budget.. .thanks 😃
Why didn’t’t you put it on emuflight because it has ghost protocol
Its time for a nicer looking solution for the tape on the armes
I use shrinktube looks much nicer
Nice build Joshua
Why did you change the xt60.wire to.not go between the stand off and camera plate like you chose to.do in your build? To much rub?
Actually the change went the other way. Originally it was like you see it here but then I changed it to go between the camera plate. This was recorded before I made that change.
About to build this

Viewing time ,perfect 👌👍 love all these vids….I’ve learnt so much from you thank you sooooo much 👏👏👏👏
AS YOU DO!
You should have a jb perfect freestyle buid competition see who can get the best overall outcome from this frame
What is the problem with the JB F7 DJI firmware in Betaflight that you mentioned in the video?
The default current sensor is set wrong.
What is the proper setting?
thank you to you cuz your awesome
603 to 704...Is that gopro missing the battery? Hero 8=126gm
Umm. I wanna say, no of course it had the battery in, but yeah your math checks out. FFfffffff.
Also weighed with no battery straps
GoPro don't need no special battery, if can power of the main pack. 😏
@@AerialWaviator I agree.
I run the hero 6 with the iflight power cable, and removed the battery bay and side doors. It dropped the weight from 117gm down to 91gm.
I gotta put in the hours learning how to tune correctly.
Nice build, dood. I wish someone would burn that red electric tape tho...
How come you didn't update Blheli? It has the low and hight pmw like you showed us. please do tell us why you chose not to .. thanks
Variable PWM can cause problems like hot motors. I only use it if it's actually called for to solve a situation.

Why not BLHeli 32.8 and low/high?
Variable PWM solves some problems but it can also create problems so I don't do it unless I specifically need it.
Just perfect!
Your props are still set to in my guy
Hey man , is there mounting with the frame for a nebula nano or nebula pro?
only use the pro
@@mikeybroe1 I finished that build months ago.

Where is the legendary red electrical tape??? 😄
I couldn't get my vista camera to fit
The Vista is slightly wider than a micro sized camera so you have to squeeze the camera plates slightly to get them to go into the top plate.
@@JoshuaBardwell well if you are certain it will fit I will give it another shot but I gave it a pretty good go the first time ! Thanks for the reply btw
Had to squeeze a little more than slightly but I got it thanks jb
