- These are the harbor frieght steel 1000lbs. steel ramps. They are around $50 with a 20% off coupon. I have had the aluminum one before but the rivets come loose so I dont really recommend them. These have nothing to come loose but the bolts on the end holding on the lip. One downfall to these are they weigh 50lbs. together. Holding one in each had isnt too bad.

I think the ramps are stronger, if the end plates are attached beneath the ramp, instead of on top of the ramp…
great video....only idea I would have is bolt the ends under the rapid. That way they won't bend up so easy. Good job.
Yeah.. the manual actually shows that the ends should mount underneath the ramps on the last page.
Always...ALWAYS...secure the ramps to the vehicle, or they could kick out and land you on your head.
May I ask, Why did'nt you secure yours?
Good video dude. Side note, the curved piece you bolt on to the main part of the ramp goes under the main part of the ramp not on top. Happy riding!
As a warning. These ramps are stamped steel and they are sharp as all get out all over the backside surface. I had a pair of mechanics gloves on when I went to pick them up from the tailgate and they cut through the gloves and my two fingers right down to the bone. I was out in the boonies and had to superglue them shut. I spent 1 hour going around them with a pneumatic belt sander when we got home. both ramps were razor sharp everywhere on the back side. I still have them and they have held up but User beware.
Deezildennis thank you
Lol
Thanks for let us know
WHAT IS ''ALL GET OUT' AND WHY IS IT SHARP?
I have mine for 3wks and used them 4times almost every one of my finger has a cut some badly from handling them
I can't believe you didn't secure the ramps to the tailgate!
Can i use these ramps to load up a refrigerator onto a pick-up truck?
I would say for anyone who gets them. File down the stamped edges. It's razor sharp. I got a cut before I even got them out of the box. I took thick duct tape and ran it down the full length on both sides.
that ramp flexed at the lip pretty hardcore on the first run up.
how heavy is your 4 wheeler? is it over 1,000lbs?
thanks
I would say its around 600 lbs.
That thing sounds like a lawnmower
why did you plate the topside of the ramps with the angle plate instead of putting the plate on the under side ? putting the plate on top actually causes more stress on the nuts and bolts ? are you not a safety person .?
best thing to do is wear gloves those ramps are sharp
What if you use the ramps only a few times per year would the aluminum ones handle that, being 1/2 the weight?
the aluminum ones would be great.
How much wear these ramps and what's the maximum weight?
would you recommend getting a 2nd pack and make them all side by side for safety?
I don't think that would make then any safer?
Are these the 72" or 84" version?
These are the 72" version!
Thanks!
Ratchet straps work well to secure the ramps to the truck..so you don't bust your ass...lol..
How much for these
need to strap the ramp to the truck if it kicks out your in for a rough day
Thanks. I still don't use straps. But have had my 4 wheeler come off while loading. It bent the ramp a little but they still work great. Thanks for watching.
at 3:08. dont look at me for help, im a camera.
one of these ramps broke and nearly killed a friend lol
THERE ARE EDITING TECHNIQUES TO HELP NOT BORE US WITH YOUR WRONG WAY OF BUILDING RAMPS. PUT PLATE UNDER,ITS STRONGER, NO MATTER WHAT DIRECTIONS SAY.
those ramps wouldnt last a second if they were aluminum.
