The really funny thing about this interaction... is... Rory's entire life... from day 1 has been a series of scenes just like this. He interacts with someone, says something arbitrary that makes you think differently, their mouth kind of drops open, and he says peace while dipping out. When he was 7 years old I took him to the biggest library in the town we moved to. The children's librarian took him downstairs to find a book while I talked to the head librarian about some business I had with them (I was trying to get them to sign a computer service agreement with me.). She came up an hour later with her mouth open. It took her that long to find a book he hadn't read. She went on to tell me how he knew each author, what styles they wrote in, and could tell her about every book she tried to show him in detail unlike anything else she had ever heard from any child regardless of age. I nodded, said thanks, and we left. To this day I am convinced that Rory is the reason they signed that agreement. This series of shorts is interesting, I like it a lot.

ah man, that's so crazy, aspiring filmmaker here! Funny thing is Richard Linklater is my hero and I've always wanted to film some kind of short with Rory, then suddenly one late sleepless night, I stumble upon a beautiful little Linklater-esque short featuring him! Got a new fan of the show!
