Unlike many others' I always liked this more than the 1st one. But especially now, after Endgame, I really appreciate how many things they are setting up here that will payoff in other movies down the line!
This doesn't even touch the first one. It was the exact same formula. Nothing new really. Ultron could have been developed so much better. He was finally used properly in the "What If" series. I've always looked at AOU as a bridge installment film. It was a decent movie overall but nothing special. And don't even get me started on the weird Bruce / Natasha romance.

@@SurvivorBri I totally disagree. Surely the What If Ultron was better, but only because it built on the character established here. Every villain is better when they get to come back, same with Loki and Thanos. I love Age of Ultron because it develops on all of the characters rather than just crossing them over like we see in Infinity War. It also has maturer themes than the original Avengers and far better cinematography. And why can't Natasha and Bruce have a dalliance. They are both characters who want more from their lives but are haunted by what makes them superheroes. This film focuses on the existing relationships and manages to establish Vision and Wanda! Its superb.

I like Hawkeye too. He's the demonstration of what a skilled human can do. Many people don't like him because they think of him as weak, but he's most probably the most realistic of all of them.
I really love how his character was developed in the Hawkeye series! He was never a favorite of mine from the movies, but seeing more of his personality and the human toll of being a non-powered “superhero” in the world of the MCU upped my respect level by like 1,000% 🏹

Bruce is Natasha's escape from Black Widow and Nat is Bruce's escape from the Hulk. Bruce and Natasha both feel like they've been morally compromised in some way by their alter egos, but at the end of the day it's those monsters (Hulk and Black Widow) that contribute massively to stopping Ultron and preserving as much life as possible.
Heheh...yeah, Hawkeye sees very well, so he sees a lot. Including a lot of things he never wanted to see.

..actually, I think Hawk is a mutant. There's a difference between " expert " and " perfect ". It almost seems like his weakness is that he can't miss!
Fear can give people the rationalization to do many bad things. In this case, Stark's fear led to the destruction of a city and nearly the destruction of the entire planet.
Black Widow isn't super strong, she's just awesome.

'every movie iron man has an upgrade'
Not just an upgrade, but always in relation to a failing in the previous movie.
Eg
In iron man 2 the man with electric whips manages to paralyse ironman suit with electricity.
In avengers 1 Thor hit ironman with lightening...and it powers up the suit to 400%.
I always thought that was something that surprised Tony...Thor's lightning supercharging his suit...that it was an unintended side effect of the changeover to the vibranium core arc reactor? I guess it could be an intentional feature, it is hard to tell in the scene how surprised Tony was by getting charged up by the lightning, but he seems to not be expecting it. In any event, the vibranium core arc reactor was definitely a big upgrade to the suit, so you are totally right anyway that every movie does feature upgrade(s) for Iron Man.✌

@@iKvetch558 Iron Man doesn't have vibranium in the arc reactor. It contains a new element his father conceived and he managed to create.

For me, this Avengers movie ranks last out of the 4. They are all in a separate category from all the individual movies in between.
I thought Tony was a huge hypocrite in this movie. In the first Avengers movie, he used his spy equipment to dig into what Fury was doing with making weapons from the alien army.
He tore into him about it and from keeping the Avengers from knowing until it was too laye
Yet, he did the same thing in this movie, and dragged Bruce into it as well. He wanted them to work on Ultron in secret and keep it from the rest of the team, so that no one would tell him no.
Everything that Ultron did and destroyed is Tony....a little bit on Bruce and Wanda for messing with Tony's head.
Idk if you noticed the Easter egg of what Clint did with honoring Pietro for saving his life. When Nat looked at the baby video of their new son, the baby was wearing a onesie with his full name on it. He is named after both Nat ( Nathaniel) and Pietro (Peter).

You know, to me Batman is the Tony Stark of DC, many parallels. But the Superman (in my opinion) of Marvel is Captain Marvel, but you still have some more movies to go before meeting her 😸 I'll be waiting for you to review all that movies! 🤗

5 months later I’m looking for new reaction videos for movies I’ve already seen multiple times.
I don’t really get to watch them with anyone else except at the theater, so this is vicarious enjoyment I can’t really get any other way.
I don't know why some people don't like this film, it is a really good follow up from the last Marvel films, I watch this more times then the first one and after this I watch Dr. Strange, but that's just me.

Yknow I think I didn’t like this one as much at first but since it’s become my absolute favorite. I always thought that ultron was a much more terrifying adversary than thanos had he gotten his way, confirmed as such in what if’s infinity ultron episode. Also my favorite fun fact about this one, The ‘please be a secret door… yay!’ Was improvised by RDJ on the spot
As stated in previous comments, as you watch these movies there are a lot of call backs to previous Marvel movies. For instance, Thor hitting Caps shield with the hammer is a call back to Avengers when they first met in the forest during the Iron man / Thor fight. Great job with your reactions, I really enjoy them.👍🏻
My own theory is that Thor saw in his induced dream what meant to do. He was meant to give Vision something Ultron didn't have : life. That's why he is also worthy of Mjølnir, because he has the spirit of the hammer. Regarding if Ultron is right or not, I understand you, he's right but it's typically psychopath to twist things. His reasoning is right but the means are perverse. Great video guys, had a great time watching this with you.
Whoever gave you the information about Natasha was right but wrong. She does have a weaker version of the super serum in the comics, not as good as the serum that Dr. Abraham Erskine made for Steve, but in the MCU she is just a really good spy and a trained assassin, so she ain’t super strong and enhanced in the MCU.
Another change is Steve in the main continuity of the comics is peak human, in the MCU he has superhuman strength and is more accurate to the earth-1610 that also has superhuman strength.

Would you be willing to elaborate for me? I'm tying to think of what/when you are referring to. 🤔 I can't think of any point in the MCU where this is noted. As far as I'm aware, she simply has exceptional sklls and is highly-trained, along with having some tech, (e.g., wrist stingers and paralyzing/zapping discs).
