Morris is very demure, very mindful, very cutesy!! I love him! Those eyes were very creepy and I'm not usually one for getting creeped out, but they did lol, love what you did with him, the tux suits him perfectly!!
Thank you! I nearly left him on the rubbish pile because of those eyes, but I felt sorry for him being abandoned there, and I'm glad I was able to (eventually) make him look cuter. 😂
So cute! From tragedy to triumph! One thing you might want to try the next time you are mixing a light and a dark color together is to start with a blob of the lighter color first and then add the darker color to it a little at a time, especially when working with black. I've done the same thing and ended up with a rather large tub of a color I was trying to get because I started with the black first. Lesson learned! Well, except for the times I forget it...🤣
Hi Becky - the problem is that the figurine is just a bad piece... nothing charming about it... even if you painted it solid black it would be terrible. But quite an effort. I'm going to buy one of those cats with the waving paw. Regardless of the result I always watch you doing these make overs. Thx
Thank you, we had a lovely time, and I just got back a couple of days ago. Back to reality, haha! Dolls are the worst, especially vintage ones in antique shops - how creepy are they!!
I'm wondering if something like air dry clay would have helped fix parts of the bunny you didn't like, for example the eyes. I see others use it to help change the shapes of things like this. I need to get myself some from Amazon, because it looks fun and I think it could be used in a few arty ways. Anyway it took a while, but you got there in the end and it looks really good and no longer creepy.
Becky, Morris is just downright adorable! If you had a small chain, you could glue that to him for a pocket watch or a monocle.
Thank you, and that's a cute idea - if I find some chain I might just add it on!
You saved the bunny! That yellow was so horrible; I'm glad you could cover it over. (I've had to cover over bad color choices I've made, too.)
That was an immediate regret when I painted it on! 😂
The end result is adorable! Thanks for bringing us along!
@@jillwiswall5386 Thank you! 😊
looks amazing! that yellow HAD to go!!
It sure did! 😂
So adorable! I love the top hat. Well done! 😄👍
@@dennybean4009 Thank you! ❤️
What a -gentleman- gentlerabbit Morris is.
Glad you saved him, although with sweat and tears (and a ton of paint).
Cheers from Italy.
Dan 🧡
Gentlerabbit, haha! 😂
Always start with the lightest colours and add the darker colour
@@karenirving7088 Haha yes, lesson learned! 😂

Love the final product Becky. And welcome back from your road trip. Excited to hear more about that soon ❤
@@makeroomtogrow Thank you! I am very disorganised at the moment and hope to get myself sorted out next week, haha! 😆
So cute, well done makeover. Love the idea of the top hat. Hello Morris. ❤
Thank you! 🤗
The hat and bow tie are so cute!
@@MirandaWatsonArt Thanks! 😊
The hat and bow tie were great additions to the rabbit. 🎉
Thank you! I wish I could have made a felt bow but it was a total disaster, lol!
How adorable, so dapper!
Thank you! 😄
He's very cute.😊
I'm much happier with him now!
aawww he is sooo cute!!! well done, Becky 😊 you gave him a new life ❤
Thank you! I'm glad I was able to change his eyes to something better, lol.
@@BeckyTregear haha, yes those eyes were quite something!
Awesome makeover!!!! ❤❤❤❤
Thank you! 😄
My mom did so many ceramic painting! Try some dry brushing of the acrylic paint over the top to give a realistic hair appearance!
Thank you for the tip, I might try that technique in the future to other ornaments. I'm leaving this dude well enough alone, haha! 😂
You shouldn't sew so fast: you may hurt yourself! lol. 🤣 Morris looks so dapper!
@@artandmusic09 I wish I could sew that fast! 😂
The hat was a great idea!
@@riverAmazonNZ Thank you, I'm glad it actually worked! 😂
You saved Morris!!! 💙
I'm so happy about that! I thought he was a lost cause for a long time there, lol.

That sounds like a very sensible idea! I blobbed that black in thinking "she'll be right", and now I have a whole lotta grey to use up. 🤣
@@BeckyTregear Morris needs some siblings! lol

@@jackielubeck I've grown attached to him, shoddily made and all, lol!
Hope your road trip is going well Becky. I’m with you on dolls. I was never a doll kid.

I didn't even think of using clay, and I have some too!! 😂 Maybe on my next makeover....until I get to it and forget about the clay again...lol!
