The Primordial Caves are clearly inspired by the 2008 movie Journey to the Center of the Earth, even a skull shaped boat is from there
its a mix with the ice age 3, the mob designs even reflect the style of the film, the overhaul environment does aswell. and the raptors are straight out of ice age 3. when i first saw the mod i was like "ICE AGE 3!" and in the teaser they play the ice age 3 song aswell(when the dinosaurs are dancing)
just compare a image of the mod and the filme and you will see its almost the same. it probably has inspiration from the journey to the center of the earth, but i dont see it that much, no mushroom forest or massive ocean with a nucleus in the sky.
Any form of ancient life under the crust of the earth is based on the 1864 novel journey to the center of the earth by Jules Verne.
more likely its actually inspired from the book version of journey to the center of the earth. the devil is in the details~

If all this is in 1 mod... It can be put next to one of the greatest expansion mods: Aether, Advent of ascension, Erebus, Atum and etc.
Add the betweenlands there too when it finally gets released for newer versions

@@xskullcrow3269 Cuz They OG and Alex's mobs is mainly about mobs and Ice and Fire ads a few structures... I'm talking about Huge Expansion mods... (Including Dimensions, Biomes, Different and the ways to get to them...)
@@thedarkness4820 Well, this is subjective, but these mods are more about quality over quantity (AoA for example can be considered the opposite), and still they are huge expansions, because they do have a lot of content, without taking into account every single mob/item have unique mechanics.
Not to discredit the mods you listed because they are huge expansions, but the ones I mentioned are nothing short of amazing as well, and I talk about them because they have the same quality seal as the mod in this same video.
@@xskullcrow3269 Ice and Fire hasn't been updated past 1.18.2, so it wouldn't be compatible with Alex's caves

@@based980 and where would this mod be without the vital base support that Mojang provides? Each year mojang cleans up its code, adds new functions like model transparency, and implements new lighting software and technical solutions.
A lot of stuff you take for granted are hidden just beneath the surface. When last have you looked at the list of bug reports that they clear up?
And what about the ad revenue that supports the game? That brings in new players? You think that a modification team of 6 people can full in the boots of Mojang?
Sure, 10000 people can do so, but without Mojang it's likely that number will exponentially dry up as vultures and blight chew through the rest of the decaying game.
The presence of Mojang is what allows these mod-makers to live lives of "luxury" when compared to other games. Mojang keeps the money flowing so that mod-makers flourish.
You spit at Mojang, and yet know so little of the struggles that go unnoticed beneath. Mojang isn't a company; its a jungle that seeks to maintain and balance an ecosystem.

1.modders not do it for free, most of them do it to test their coding talent, and some of them even have donation money, There's donate button in Curseforge web for each mod
2. modders arent 10x better than Mojang, they have flaws like bugs that they hard to fix, (Mo creature mod break spawn rate and visual, Twilight forest cant compatible to Optifine, mod with complex animation ruined by Shader,...) and they could abandon it if they want due to real life jobs/hardly add more content like Twilight forest final boss or Aether 2 content (
I'm just hoping that Alex can finish up Alex's Mobs and Alex's Caves soon so they can get back to working on the Ice and Fire mod; been waiting for that mod to get back up on it's feet for a looong time.
Maybe even can use their newly gotten skills from this mod to bring back to Ice and Fire.
I mean, I do not think Alex's Mobs nor Caves will get finished soon. Especially since Mobs will get longterm support for newer versions and Caves definitely getting more caves as updates in the future. They could probably work on Ice and Fire from time to time, maybe even put it as a secondary focus considering Alex's Mobs development seems to be relatively low. Albeit that might be due to Alex's Caves.
What is the Ice and Fire mod? I've honestly never heard of that mod before.
@@CookedSpringtrap It is a mod that Alex, the creator of Alex's Mobs and Caves, contributed in creating. It is about various mythological creatures such as sea serpents, basilisks, hydras and most notably dragons and their variety. The main focus is dragons, though you can also tame other creatures. It is said that there'll be much more creatures that'll be added, yet the mod itself is kind of dead. Though, it is quite a good mod and a lot of people love it.

Whats your favorite cave concept from the vote? Mine is lilliputian grotto, great oak, paranormal pit and chambers of champions, forlon hollows was my least favorite because it wasn't really that special compared to the rest, but it really had an interesting concept and from all of the caves, its the only one i could see something similar being added in minecraft
If I have to choose from the leftover cave biomes, it’ll be lilliputian or galactic

i like the microbiome, great oak, and galactic, lilliputian was cool too, but imo forlorn and flesh pit were some pretty boring concepts
Paranormal pit, Who dosen’t love a cave with bounty hunting, Ghost trains that you can ride on, And gambling
I have a theory the dark cult created the undead atlatitan that became the luxtructosaurus. I remember hearing the forsaken was some sort of undead abomination.

I like how the submarine looks like a more blocky and orange seamoth, while the floater is literally just the air bladder. I mean who would have expected the big underwater biome to have big underwater game reference.

very close, a month or so, they’re working on the in-game guide and on the sounds, perhaps some tiny tweaks but that’s all

Words cannot describe how much I wish that Alex’s Caves and Alex’s Mobs and Alex’s Caves were on the Marketplace so they could be played on consoles.

Pretty good video, you did a good job of breaking down everything we've heard so far in a reasonable amount of time. However I don't think having captions for everything you said is very necessary since each word is only on screen for like half a second. It also feels like you were just adding on to the script as your wrote it, like when you were talking about the tripod fish you randomly just mentioned that it had a "new look"
It’s an editing style I just like to use, no one else seems to have a problem with it, also this video is a compilation off all the Alex’s Caves videos I made, which means several parts of each biome were uploaded in several months, like the part where I show the tripod fish for the first time was around April, while me talking about it having a new look was from a video in august
Also I didn’t use captions, it’s how that specific font looks

It would be pretty cool to have all the different groups here as separate mods so you can pick which ones you want. Because some of the mods here are very different themed like the magnet one the nuclear and the underwater mod set are all very futuristic and not vanila like at all. Compared to the others which may differ in some ways but there more a vanilla + style mod
yeah, while the idea of the futuristic stuff is pretty cool its just not my cup of tea

fact: gossamer worms, sea pigs, lanternfish, and tripod fish exist irl. the deep one is based off barreleye fish and deep one knight is inspired by footballfish or angler fish (its called hullbreaker not nightmare or whatever)

New update for the mod 1. Neodymium armour 2. Brachiosaurus like mob named scubarsaurus 3. Spinosaurus like boss named gyragosaurus 4. Miniature nuke you can throw 5. Angler fish 6. Gulper eel 7. Something for the last biome 8. A new biome with new maps blocks resources and other things.
