It’s amazing how open and honest you’ve been about moving home, thanks for keeping it real
Natalie I had a period where I moved back in with my dad (my parents are divorced so there’s no family home). A few months later, my brother and his wife moved in too. There were various reasons at the time for this. In any case, my sister in law was pregnant at the time and subsequently had my niece so we had a great time all bonding with each other. We all had our own rooms and we hired someone to help with cleaning and cooking so that it doesn’t end up being an issue to disagree over. Also we would split all costs so financially we were all being ‘adult’. Honestly, it was great. We did that for about a year.
Omg your home in Charlotte is so beautiful! I'm currently living with my parents due to grad school. I'm grateful to be able to do that and save money. It's also nice to hangout with my family!
I always love your music and thank you for your last few vlogs, because you have no idea how better they have made me feel about my current situation (anxiety and mental health). Your such a breath of fresh air.
I'm 28 and I've been at my mum's since may after 4 years of living with my boyfriend... It's definitely been a adjustment but I'm just grateful for the space and to get to spend time with family ❤️✨
I graduated college in May 2019 and have been living at home since then. Student loans are killer so I'm working my full time job and saving everything till I feel comfortable supporting myself. Living at home with my younger sibs feels like time is frozen for me, like I'm just in a limbo waiting for the next step of moving out and moving on. Doesn't feel great, especially in Wisconsin where seasonal depression on top of feelings of inadequacy seem to cloud my mind for 6+ months out of the year. I literally stay at my grandparents on the weekends to feel like I'm on vacation. Simple life over here, we're making it. Just means I'll value my independence that much more later
yes! the seasonal depression is REAL up north, especially post grad i've realized
I’m 22, graduated from my Master’s in June, and now living at home in the Bay Area with my parents. Definitely not what I expected, but genuinely beyond grateful to have their love and support during this insane time.
Thanks for your transparency around the transition back to home - we’re not all in the same boat, but we are in the same storm ❤️
Clicked SO FAST! I'm so excited to see your Charlotte vlogs. I'm in a similar position as you, I graduated in May and didn't move out of my parents' home due to the pandemic. It's funny because my room looks exactly like the one you have in Charlotte and that makes me so excited to watch your content and also motivates me because working from home can be really hard sometimes!
don't lose hope! i moved back home back in March and am now making my way back to the city. I think what helped me a lot was keeping in touch with my friends in the city and reminding myself that this is all temporary. that being said, on my worst days, i chatted with my mom about how I felt and a therapist through better help! im wishing you peace and happiness! remember you are not alone and it's okay to feel every emotion you do!
Honestly the most important thing to balance everyone working from home is everyone has their own space. My dad works in our kitchen and outside since the weather is still nice in NY, my mom studies in the basement at a table with a nice set up, and I study in my room at my desk
I highly recommend
Your honesty is so refreshing.. keep strong girl you got this 💪🏽 I’m from England and recently moved too 🧡
The sound of the water at the pool was like so relaxing 😂 random but i enjoyed that lol
I appreciate these vlogs so much you don’t even know, because it makes me feel like I’m not alone! I moved from an apartment in Long Beach where I lived with just one roommate, and I would literally take walks to coffee shops in the morning, did yoga on the beach all the time and literally lived life on my own schedule. And now, after moving back in with my parents in the valley, needless to say it’s different 😭 I really try to stay hopeful though that I’ll get that independence and fulfillment of living alone again 💗 thanks for sharing these!
Guuurrl this vlog was so good. You are really turning it up a notch with the content, editing, etc. :) so happy!
I love this!! Thank you for normalizing that you can still be successful and your own person if you live at home! Covid moved me from my life in MN to AZ with my parents. I never grew up in AZ as my parents moved here just a year ago it has definitely been an adjustment. My lease ended around the same time as yours and I ended up not renewing for many reasons as you. MN winters are no joke and I can't imagine being isolated there when I've gotten so used to being in a house with family. Miss my independence some days but grateful my parents welcomed me home and that I'm not worrying about rent. Using this as time I didn't expect to spend w family and open-minded that everything happens for a reason.
Thanks for being so real and honest!!! It’s so important to normalize living with your family or moving back home for a period of time. I too had to move back home for 5 months during quarantine and it was really challenging giving up my own space and independence...thanks for sharing girl!!!
So happy and proud to see you dealing so well with this major life change ❤️ try to focus on the good things like new clients from your area , the pool, your little brother and time will pass ❤️ you will be back to NYC so soon with new memories and fresh air ❤️
I can’t describe how awesome you are! Amazing. Love your vlogs.
ooph I'll be moving back in with my parents soon due to a breakup and I'm dreading it. I can't help but feel like it's a huge step back in life, but seeing other people doing the same and being able to adjust is a relief. thanks for being open about your experience!
I am so excited for your CLT vlogs!! I’m currently living in CLT, NC with my parents (also not what I expected) so I am SO excited for this content!!! Can’t wait to see how you make the most of this situation :)
Girl I got my undergrad in accounting and it still isn’t for me 😂 taxes are insanely complicated and always changing with new regulations so I will definitely be hiring someone to do mine one day too!! You’re not alone! Loveeee your vlogs. Seriously the best vibes.
Living at home right now! Grateful that I do get to see my family and dog every day just for the human contact aspect, also love that I am saving rent and food money
I am in the exact same boat as you so it feels so good to watch someone that I legit look up to going through the same thing!
I moved out of London to be back home with my family for a bit too. It’s definitely an adjustment after living in the city and having my own schedule but it’s so nice to spend time with loved ones and makes this whole time less lonely 💕
Love your Charlotte home!! 🤍 that pool is STUNNING
I was a community college transfer and my first semester at my new uni I had to move back home with my family :( At first i was miserable and thinking of every way I could go back to my uni and hoping class would go back to face to face... but all my fall semester classes are online and I’ve gotten used to living at home. What I love about living at home is being 100% comfortable and not having to worry about what my roommates think.. Also my roommates at uni we’re super messy and I was always disgusted by their living habits LOL
Omg same girl
I am a post grad and am also living at home with my parents, I'm grateful they let me live at home but I am also yearning for my own space and want to feel like I'm progressing in life. But I know that the situation is temporary and so many other people feel the same way!
Thank you for inspiring me and motivating me everyday 🥰🤗
I’m from Liverpool in the uk! But currently living in Leeds (where I went to uni) just working for a year. Next year I’m moving back in with my parents to save money etc. Kind of feels like a I’m going to be taking a step back, but I keep reminding myself that sometimes you need to step back to see whats in front of you!
hi natalie! originally from wilmington, nc (hey carolina!) and have lived in san diego, chicago, and now i'm in dallas. i'm a flight attendant who will be potentially furloughed. these last couple of months have been stressful with all the unknowns. just know you aren't alone in any of this! and thanks for posting :)
Thanks for sharing how you’ve been adjusting back home. I’ve been living at home in the Bay Area for a year since I graduated and it definitely can get to me mentally. It’s great to know that other people (even with large followings) are going through the same things😊
Love this video - definitely feel you! I had to move from D.C. back home with my parents in PA, outside of Philly! It was an adjustment at first, but also a special time!!
I am actually moving from NYC back to Charlotte as well. I grew up in South Charlotte and it’ll be my first time living there in over 6 years. I’m so ready to be closer to family! 💖
I just recently moved home too! It's so nice to see your vlogs and know I'm not alone in an unexpected move and adjusting
I started my own recruitment/career coaching business too last year in Hong Kong and I can say... the admin stuff like taxes, registrations etc... can be overwhelming. I agree with you sometimes it is worth to outsource the tasks (like accounting) coz not only will you be able to learn new things but you'll be able to understand and build a better foundation at the start.
And I definitely agree with things like taxes, rather than having to backtrack coz maybe you filled certain things in incorrectly, having an accountant just takes the stress off of you by milesssss and lets you have things right from the start. It's a huge world out there and sometimes it's okay for us to reach out for help!
Love your new room vibe!!
I live in Australia and I moved back home when my grandma was visiting from overseas just before the pandemic because my parents really wanted the whole family to live together while she was visiting. Both my grandma and I have been stuck under the same roof now, 6 months longer than we initially planned. It's often been really hard and we had a lot of fights but my family is now closer than it had ever been. Also the added peace of mind that your family is safe because they are with you. I think the hardest part for me to adapt to was when people are in the common family areas but they are on their phone or computer not really listening or responding to you, or when they have something on speaker and I have to constantly hear it when I want to make a cup of tea in the kitchen. I'm still learning to cope with it haha, I personally can never sit next to someone in silence and just scroll my phone.
Bc of Covid I had to move back home (age 23) so I totally relate to everything you are saying. I was so used to my own schedule and meals, it is really hard to adjust back to being home.
I so so relate to everything you are going through!!
from boston! i moved out a couple years ago, moved back in with my dad for a few years before moving out again. theres no shame in it and we totally need to normalize that it's OKAY to be moving back in with the rents if you need to.
I'm 23 living at home with my parents in Houston! Difference is that I haven't yet had the opportunity to move away, so I haven't had that taken from me. I am so lucky that my family and I are basically best friends though. When I finally get my dream of moving to NYC it's going to be very bittersweet for that reason! While I love living with my family in a lot of ways, it's still hard to feel a little "stuck", if you will, due to the societal situation.
I just moved from Charlotte! I was there for 8 years. I got married in July and my husband and I are living with my parents while we wait to get our Visas and move to China to teach. It’s so hard living with parents as an adult and as newlyweds so trust me I understand how you feel!
Same boat as you, lady! I'm 26, almost 27. I was living in Seattle and kind of abandoned my apartment back in March when everything started and moved back in with my family (~45 min outside of Seattle). My lease apartment lease just finally ended, so at least I'm not paying rent on an empty apartment anymore, but I've decided to move home indefinitely. So I've been here for 6 months now, and probably have another few months I'll stay here. Never expected this but, like you, the winter alone in the city with COVID still rampant just seemed so daunting and scary.
Absolutely feel the struggle of coming back home after living away for so long. I am in the same boat, and It can be hard to adjust. Thanks for sharing x
You should do a home tour! Your parents house is beautiful!! Hi from South Carolina! I'm like 2 hrs from you!
Oh my gosh! Your parents house is beautiful! Loved this vlog!!
I love your videos! They are always fun, lots of info❤🤙All the way from Maui, Hawaii!!
I'm living at home and I wished I had a pool all summer, you are so lucky to have that in NC. In Michigan it's back to the 60's already so done with pool season until next summer.
Seeing the comments makes me realize we are definitely not alone! I ended my lease early in June where I lived my sister and made the drastic move to Mexico due to my mom currently living here. Our parents are divorced (no family home) & so my sister decided to go live with my dad-he lives in the bay area.. 3 months in after moving with our parents and we def want our own place back! lol but their is hope! As many others are saying in the comments, lets remind ourselves this is temporary! :)
im 28 and living with my parents so I totally feel you Nat.
I live in Melbourne, Australia 🇦🇺
I found you a couple of years ago when I was looking for Coachella inspiration and have followed you ever since! 😊
I really want to move back home for a few months to Adelaide, Australia but can’t right now as my state is in stage 4 lockdown! 😭
Me procrastinating my homework to watch this: 👁👄👁
I’m obsessed with the new house
Great video! How many siblings do you have? Your parents new house looks gorgeous 😊. You are so resilient and such a great role model
It’s literally 10pm in Bali right now, I’m just about to sleep but then i got your notifications 🥳
Lol natalie if it makes you feel better I lived with my parents until last year (27) because I had a shit ton of student loan debt from going say to college and couldn't afford those payments plus rent (I work in Manhattan, now live in Queens!)
So don't think of being home as a bad thing. Sometimes it's a blessing in disguise! You're gonna save so much money during this intermission ! Focus on the positives, time will fly and you'll be back when the time is right
I love your house and also your videos, Nat! 🙂💛
Love the way how you film ❤️ I am also back to my homeland and am working on the new video :)
Subbed ❤
Nerd WithNoLife ❤️
you seeeem so so happy to be back in charlotte!!! I think you were thriving in NYC too and moving back is ofc an adjustment, but I'm happy that you're back home
Hey Natalie! Would you mind sharing where your glasses are from?
I had to move back home for the semester because my graduate privy got moved online. I went for living in DC to Kentucky !! The difference is stark
Could you do a house tour of your parents home? It looks so gorgeous!!
I agree it's so important to do your taxes right!
Vegas!! Your parents home is so beautiful! 🥺👀😍
I am in Georgia and I have been going thru alot of change in the last 2.5 years, but in a good way.
Consider this as part of your journey......hang in there.
Coming to Charlotte first week in October for a day on my way from Asheville; where is one place I must eat and a good coffee. I tried Hex and Smelly Cat and LOVVVVED them.
I’m currently living with my family in Massachusetts but looking forward to moving out in the near future whoever COVID is over and it is safe to move out on my own 😊
I am also living with my family, waiting for Jan to move hopefully.. I feel like I don't have a personal space here at all since my sister and I have share the same room. I hate this but I'm trying to be grateful for what I have and focus on the good things in my life. This is all temporary and I will move soon
I lived in San Francisco for the past year (I’m 23) and didn’t think it was worth it to sign a new lease since nothing is really open :/ I honestly feel good about it! I’m saving a ton of money and it’s made me focus on myself more living at my parent’s house!
Charlotte missed you!!!
The pool is so nice!
To the people reading this: have a wonderful day/night and stay safe during these hard times 😷🧤🙏.
Have a cookie to feel better 🍪
Thank you 😊
Good video! I'm loving this!
I am in the same situation! I was living on my own for 3 years in downtown Montreal (Canada) and had to move back home because of the pandemic :(
I love these vlogs & seeing how you're adjusting :) you're doing great
Thank you!!

I would really appreciate if you made a video on how you keep your hair so straight n bright.

It’s honestly my natural hair. I add leave in conditioner but my hair is pretty naturally straight!
I was actually supposed to move to Charlotte for my first job out of college, but I’m just living at home in ATL with my parents :) saving that rent $$
I’m in Nashville, but I always miss home (Jersey). 🖤
I'm 22 yearsold just graduated from college and live in Indonesia where covid is kinda taking over here and it makes job hunting really hard because a lot of companies are in crisis mode so ya still live with my parents ofc. Hopefully it's over really soon😔
I live in Charlotte and I vlog and no one thinks it’s weird!! Don’t worry!
What’s it like recording/filming living with your family? I started making youtube videos about a year ago and i feel like its so hard to film living with other family! Lol and thats that my family is pretty quiet and we have different schedules, except for my husband but thats a problem too cuz im embarrassed to film around him too lol so i try to use the small time when im alone but it can be hard
can you do a video on using the apple watch for fitness, work, messaging, everyday life, mediation and any other interesting/facts you use it for
I too live in Charlotte NC. I moved down here back in 07 from Ohio to be with my mom. And, it was not much of culture shock. My mom is from henderson county NC. But, I love it here. Would not move back up north.
i've had that happen to me with passwords too! so annoying lol
ngl ur bed looks so fluffy and comfy 👁👄👁

Your home looks best.
Columbia, SC!! My boyfriend and I were lucky enough to buy our first home almost 3 months ago!!
That’s amazing
I am from South Carolina, and yes its true, people always look at you weird if you wear anything different.
I really want to cancel my lease in the Bay Area and move back to Oregon with my family but it’s not worth it financially because apartment lease cancellations suck here. But I wanted to ask, where is your Star Wars shirt at the end from 😍😍
I live in Raeford nc, when i get older I want to move to new york so bad!! Any tips on how to start saving up for it? Much love ❤️
im living in alabama right now and come january gonna be moving to nevada
shoutout abby asselin for going to school for accounting
So I have been back with my parents for a few months and have now decided to temporarily move to Alaska! I am so excited to get back to my own space because I just feel like I havent been able to recharge since there's always people around me (introvert here LOL) but also very scared to be doing this during this time....
That’s so awesome!
