Thank-you for sharing this idea with us. I have always wanted to yry Fondue, but have never had the courage, maybe this year we might give it a shot. Also Thank-you for sharing the history of Fondue and picnic.
I love how you always give a bit of history on the food you’re cooking. It makes it so much fun. I remember fondue from the 1970’s. It was lots of fun. Thanks for sharing all of this.
I remember the "fondue pot" craze of the 70's. Fondue is so good. I didn't know you could buy it already made. I'll have to find some and dig out my fondue pot. Enjoyed your video.
Hi Michelle and JJ. Love your fondue pot with the adjustable heat. Haven't had fondue in so long I don't know if I still have my fondue pot. Thanks for sharing.
Michelle and JJ, I loved JJ's, "tail-gate-time" THAT WAS GREAT!! I loved the historical information you gave because it gives people information they may not have had known. Fondue was something we have not done for many years. Why? I have no clue because we all LOVE melted cheese. I bet those apples were sooo good! This was a Great Video and looked awesome! THANK YOU!!!
🤣🤣🤣 Love this response! You know…some of those savory chaffles you make would be SUPER DELICIOUS! Like the ones you made for Reuben sandwiches? Holy Hannah!
Love hearing the history! For the Super Bowl (the only game we watch) we bet who pays for a 3 course fondue dinner. My son and granddaughter always get to pick their team and I take what’s left. In 9 years of doing this, I’ve only lost once! 🤣🤣😋🤣🤣. We have 2 pots so it’s very doable.
Michelle & JJ!!! Thank you guys so much for joining the collaboration 💜 this is a fantastic idea for tailgating!! I love hearing the history!!! 🤗🥰 everything looks so good!!
Oh my goodness, Michelle and JJ, I haven't had fondue for years!!! Brings back so many memories! I had an old electric little red fondue pot. I loved that thing! Now I'm craving fondue!!! I love your pot. I've never seen one like it. Your cheese looks delicious, and yes, chocolate fondue was another favorite. Thanks so much for sharing this, and thank you for the shout-out. Hope not to disappoint. Have a great day ❤❤❤
Lol, "jinx, you owe me a coke" the fondue pot is very cute. Oh I loved the history of the gladiators and 1869 football. I've never tried fondue, im definitely going to try this! Mm fresh French Bread. Oh my, I didn't know about dipping fruit in sprite or lemon,? Ok, yummy. Any Leftovers?? Im drooling!! Thank you Michelle and JJ.
Michelle... What a great idea! I absolutely love fondue. I love the idea of apples with cheese. I loved the history lesson. You and JJ are too cute. It looks delicious ❤
Yea! You live in the Big Valley, too! It is high time you make a pot of this delicious treat. We are going to be putting a few more fondue videos over the next few months. We have a Fondue cookbook that’s filled with ideas. Thank you for watching, neighbor!
Just found your channel,I have a fondue pot that I’ve hardly used but this looks so easy iam not sure if we carry that cheese here in BC Canada I will try to find it
Yay! We hadn’t made fondue for years. After this video was taped, we ordered two boxes of our favorite cheese fondue. We’re going to enjoy a fondue every month or so. Hope you enjoy yours!
Oh Michelle I haven't had Fondue in years. Now I have to search the Goodwill for a Fondue pot. Everything looks yummy. I'm with JJ go for the mushrooms first.
Carlene, yes!!! Our local Goodwills have them quite often. It will make a comeback, I’m sure! I’ll tell you what - the marinated mushrooms were a showstopper! You have to give it a try. We had so much fun, I’m considering putting out one fondue recipe per month. There are SO many ways to enjoy it, and maybe we can introduce it to young people/new cooks or re-introduce it to those of us who remember the 70s and 80s! Thanks for watching. I hope you find that fondue pot!
OmGoodness, it’s been A MILLION YEARS since I’ve thought about fondue! Or should I say FUNdue! 🎉 🧀 🥖 🍎 🍐 🍄 Don’t you ever wonder WHY we get rid of things?! I HAD a fondue pot…. It was a GOOD TIME! Why oh why did I get rid of it?! Now I MUST GET ONE! And a special thank you for the idea on using the canned mushrooms…. THAT HAS TO BE DELICIOUS!!! 😋 Thanks collaborators!
Oh. my gosh.... I loved your opening! Good to see JJ behind the camera too! I have never used a fondue pot... I even owned 2 different ones... lol... can you believe I never used them? BUT I do have a fountain that you can use cheese or chocolate in! That looked absolutely delicious! I'm with You.. bread and cheese, yes please, but I bet the cheese on cheese was good!
I love the fountains! I have a running and very fun joke with my friend, Young Daniel, that we will have a gravy fountain for a holiday treat one day! Imagine this: tons of fresh rolls then dipping into that luscious gravy, flowing from the fountain! lol
i’ll never forget my 1st attempt at fondue. it’s comical. I couldn’t find sterno canisters anywhere so i decided to use the burner that came with the fondue pot. i wasted so much money burning alcohol to keep things melted. i will never live that down with the ladies that came over that night. i laugh about it now but not hat night. LOL.
LOL! Oh, we've burned and scalded more than our fair share! That's why I just go for the boxes anymore. There is another brand we prefer, but couldn't find. I'll try and get the link to share on Tony's live giveaway this Sunday...thank you for watching!
Michelle, your tailgates must be way classier than the tailgates I go to. Your fondue pot would be used for a Hot Tub for Brats at the tailgates I go too, 😅
@@BigValleyLivingI actually almost got Ben one for Christmas. He loved it growing up so much. I have done the Swiss cheese fondue from scratch. I didn’t know they had those premade ones. That would be convenient!

Awesome Michelle and JJ. Fondue was so popular in the 70’s and 80’s every party we went to had fondue. Drooling here now! Wendy❤🙏🏻🇺🇸
Wendy, I just adore you! Great taste in furniture, by the way! I have made the recipe from this link, and I think it would make an excellent vegan fondue:www.veganblueberry.com/real-vegan-mozzarella-cheese/ Maybe add some herbs to it, etc. this is a very good meltable vegan cheese. We use it for pizza and also cold for caprese salads! It shreds and re-melts like REAL cheese. The first time my friend and I made this recipe, we did a blind taste test for JJ and he could not tell the difference either in taste or texture. Yes, lemons are so useful in so many ways. Thank you for all of your kind words. I’ll see you soon in one livestream or another. I hope you are in great health!
I’m so sorry to hear that. There are vegan options out there, and I may just do a video making the “cheeze” and using it in a fondue. Would that interest you?

I'd check the local thrift stores. A lot of people donate them from estates, because they're clueless...
