I just bought then OT Multiforce today. I had seen TX Tools video a couple of days ago and was very impressed by how well it stacks up to the Wave. I already have a Leatherman Wingman as my go to but the Multiforce has features that my Wingman doesn’t so it fills a need. The magnets making regular bits useable was a great idea. I would’ve never considered a Walmart tool as a serious purchase but they hit a home run with this one. $37 for this is unbeatable.
Great video! I own two of these and I take one to work with me every day. You are spot on about the weight. I own many multitools including some that are heavier than this one and if you carry it the way the manufacturer designed it to be carried, the weight does not matter. I sometimes will carry a Leatherman Surge on my belt, sometimes a Wave the same way. You cannot tell a difference at all. These larger tools were not meant to be pocket carried. If you want a pocketable tool, buy a smaller one, it is a simple as that. If you buy a large multitool, you should know ahead of time that it will be on the heavy side.
I had never considered an Ozark Trail tool. Thanks to your reviews, I am now taking a serious look. I like the full size bit driver a lot. I love the magnet mod. Thank you for posting this. I subscribed to your channel and am looking forward to your posts.
OMG, thank you so much for the magnet idea. I ordered the BIBURY 21 in 1 multi tool for $20 so I could have a tool in my motorcycle and not worry if it rusts up, even though I will have it in a zip lock and under my seat, so it shouldn't, but if it does, it does. I got the tool out and I was shocked at the quality until I realized it didn't have the bits. I thought I would just use some of my bits and when I did, the magnet came out. I have a replacement coming cause Amazon is amazing about that. I will just get the magnets and put them in my multi tool and I have a awesome bit screw driver but the magnet came out from old aged glue and now I can have a magnet in that as well. I was just trying to find more bits for my EDC Muliforce and you have helped me way more than I could ever ask. Thank you so much. I am so excited now. 😁
I too came up with the idea of using a super small magnet to enable using different bits, but I like your source of magnets better than mine! Regrettably, the WiHi bits are unavailable from Amazon at this time, but there are several other good bit manufacturers than can be used just the same way with the magnets! Thanks for sharing, ALWAYS nice to try a BETTER idea!
I've been loving my Bibury multitool and surprisingly the diamond/file tool is actually very well done for a Chinese tool. And I use files very often and diamond sharpener tool's also for my knives.
I like the function of the bit driver than the downside of the file. Japanese Industrial Standard bits are a great option if you have a Japanese car or motorcycle. The Japanese cross bits fit perfectly and don't strip out as easily as Phillips.
loved the video! i did find the mossy oak file to be a little better. but as you said not hardened is bad. i think your magnet selection was better than the one i found.
I love my multiforce. Helped a friend with some minor household construction stuff and let him use it and at first he thought it was a leatherman until I told him otherwise. It's not perfect (no mtool is) I personally wish that instead of having a serrated knife it had an awl or fork or something.
It's a lower end tool. The stainless comes out of a sheet metal catalog just like Leatherman and they can co-opt the design, but you can't expect them to do all the deburring, tumbling and multiple heat treat cycles correctly. Corners have to be cut somewhere.
It's more polished up then a leathermen and 8cr is pretty easy to heatreat well the price is coming from research and development but mostly worker cost.
thanks man... I have thinking how to make work better my multiforce bit holder,,, great solution, we the maintenance tech have been waiting for a good multitool (wave dont have the standard 1/4 bits)with bit holder cause we use infinity of drill bit drivers, thanks for this great solution..
I got one off eBay it didn’t come with a sheath or bit extension but I got a good deal on it now if I can only hunt down the bit extension and extra bits it would be complete
The best file in a multi tool that i know of is the the swiss army spirit x and the leatherman rebar, that's just my opinion but the Walmart multi tool is Great for the price, i just don't know if it will hold up in the long run like the well known brands, i only know if the ones i mentioned cause i got them for my grandsons but in a pinch they should make the files so that can come out to touch up the blades if needed, Good video by the way I use the same one as this one
Test the file hardness against an edge of a file and it should skate across. If it doesn't, remove the file and use a propane torch and a inferred thermostat and heat it to 1200-1300 degrees and then quench it in a can of non-synthetic 30W motor oil. That will harden it.
Does a regular bit extension work with the driver after adding a magnet? I bought the Flissa version on Amazon that doesn't come with the specialized bit extension that has the detent. Can't find that extension anywhere, but if just adding a magnet fixes the issue I'll do that and use a standard bit extension.
Any tips for getting that metal smell off of the multiforce? I just got mine and it smells like a box of screws and it makes my fingers smell that way as well.
@@NewZonaRides thanks. The bolster is a costco exclusive but looks like a sidekick. A lot of reviews say you get a better product with the leatherman so i wanted your feedback on this ozark trail. Thanks again
Someone said it was "too heavy"? lol That's pushing it. I think they need to get into better shape. ;) Anyway, it's all subjective. There is nothing written in stone for what is "EDCable" and what is not. They should EDC whatever they like, but they also need to stop trying to speak for everyone else. Their preference isn't everyone else' preference. They should've said that for THEM they prefer to not EDC something that 'heavy'.
You phrase your comment as a fact. It's clearly an opinion by the simple fact that it comes with a pocket clip. If the elastic on your panties are worn out get yourself a belt.

where did you get the red plastic bit carrier? i can't find one that is open on both ends like that so you can see both sides.

You are correct about the pliers. Mine broke the first time I used it.
Great video. Thanks for the bit and magnet links; planning on making this into what the Gerber Armbar Drive shoulda been!

Thank you. I also think the magnets I stumbled across seem to be better than what others have used.

It's not perfect (no mtool is) I personally wish that instead of having a serrated knife it had an awl or fork or something.
Nice video with great ideas. When I did your magnet trick some of the bits would pull out the magnets so I had to use ca glue.
Hey, what kind of servers were you working on when you wrecked the file? Oh yeah, probably "file" servers! Ha!
Nice video. Love the magnet trick.
Good video...I bought one today and landed on the same solution...I am working on a fix for the file.
If you figure the file out let me know how.

You're welcome!
If you don't want a super strong magnet for the small bits just use a smaller magnet.
I got one off eBay it didn’t come with a sheath or bit extension but I got a good deal on it now if I can only hunt down the bit extension and extra bits it would be complete
Just use the Leatherman one. Works fine and it is easy to get.
Do you think the magnetic would hold tight enough for the Leatherman ratchet driver?
Cool😀😀😀😀
Got my yesterday! It looks a lot like my leather man wave
Can't you put a spacer in the bit holder so that you get more grab on the classic bits. Or several magnets to get more hight.
Great video! Thanks.
You're welcome!
Good video it had the most possibilities for the price range I'm sick of paying 100 bucks or so for multi tools anymore.

I use the same one as this one
If Leatherman bits hold security, that means the Leatherman ratchet extension will also work. Could have some serious fun with that.
Yep it would work fine.
I used too magnets so the standard bit stick out more and they come out no problem
Thats a good idea if that is the type of bits you like to use best.
I removed the pocket clip with a torx #9. It fits in the sheath better and is easier to grip.
@NewZona Rides
Have you found a suitable replacement for the file?
Do the Wiha doubles wabble in either of the holders with the magnet mod ?
I like it better than the leatherman only because it accepts all bits but quality wise I'm sure the leatherman is better metal
It sure is hard to beat for the price. That's for sure.

Why do you need a file to build servers?
Would you still recommend this MT? My costco has a leatherman bolster also for $40. Thanks
I do still recommend this tool. Have no idea what a bolster is though.
@@NewZonaRides thanks. The bolster is a costco exclusive but looks like a sidekick. A lot of reviews say you get a better product with the leatherman so i wanted your feedback on this ozark trail. Thanks again
@@ryan93civic1 It's a great budget tool.
Bought this online for $32. It is 1/3 the price of a Wave. So buy 3.
(Or keep one in your truck)
Where did you get the holder for the bits?
Another multitool came with it. There are several choices for these on Amazon. Maybe try one like this: amzn.to/3zkvR48
Where do you buy the bits
Look in the video description for the links.
whats the bit holder called and do u have a link?
The bit holder comes with the tool.
@@NewZonaRides thanks any links as i cant find it anywhere on the internet
The red bit Holder?

It is a full size with the weight of a ST300. For a budget MT it's quite capable.
Does the Wingman is bigger than the Ozark Multiforce? Is it pocket friendly? Is it possible to put a lanyard on the Ozark?
No the Multiforce is bigger. I think it is easily pocketable but I carry larger tools all the time.
@@NewZonaRides is it possible to put a lanyard on the Ozark?
@@NewZonaRides Is there a lanyard hole on the Ozark?
Wow!.....more talking hands!
Why are people pretending 420hc is better then 8cr? Leathermens 420hc isn't bucks btw.
Fatal Falanges!
So what’s your belt’s brand? haha
The 10 oz weight makes it not a pocket clip carry, the ST300 is 10 oz. Include a knife, light and pen there's less pocket space.
You phrase your comment as a fact. It's clearly an opinion by the simple fact that it comes with a pocket clip. If the elastic on your panties are worn out get yourself a belt.
It's a pitty you can't get it in Europe.
Because of the knife blade?
@@NewZonaRides because of its price, and functionality.
@@NewZonaRides We don't have wallmart. In Europe we only can get the Mossy Oak version.
"Hands of a twelve year old girl"... lol
