They keep calling Phil Jackson, he is good but had MJ & Pippen and MJ's clone in Kobe & Shaq. MJ, Kobe and Shaq are one in a lifetime type of players. Also, the triangle offense was never Phil Jackson's creation. I am not discrediting his greatness but setting the record straight
Shaq is right, the NBA has gotten boring, simply because most NBA teams run the same type of offense, we've lost variety of play styles. Every shot down the floor can't be a three, and there has to be some semblance of defense being played.
I don’t know what you’re watching, but as someone who has been watching for the last forty years I couldn’t disagree more! The game is far more dynamic and thrilling than it ever was, and loaded with more skilled and talented players than any time in the past.
@@composerken I never said the players weren't skilled, but the NBA is moving toward severe homogenization of play styles, where everyone is expected to be 6'7-6'10 and take threes. The NBA is more interesting when there is a mixture of different types of players playing different styles. Also, do you agree or disagree that most teams run similar offenses to each other these days? I have nothing against the players, but rule changes and analytics have led every team to run similar strategies and draft similar players, teams don't see a reason to go against the grain or try anything different.
