THE BIG SOFA is one of the five Big Dance Shorts created for Channel 4 Random Acts strand in 2016. Commissioned by Channel 4 and Big Dance, the Big Dance Shorts 2016 series focused on the theme 'Dance Decades'.
Big Dance Shorts is a partnership between Channel 4 and Big Dance that aims to stimulate new and creative collaborations between dance and film professionals, creating the opportunity to produce new and imaginative works for film.
15 dance films (2012, 2014 & 2016 series) have been made by the collaboration between Channel 4 and Big Dance for the Random Acts strand, which have been screened throughout the world.
