If the Yankees must reduce payroll to sign Soto, they should consider putting Rice at first, Durban at second, Chisholm at third, and Dominguez in left field. These young guys players have risks but also could actually improve the team over last year’s, and they’ll save the Yankees a lot of money.
Durban...not ready to play 162 games or give NY the offense we need from 2B. Torres put up as many as 38 HR (2019)...and Rice started out fine but dropped like a brick..we can't get no offense from 1st and 2nd..
@@wyattspop That's what depth is for. Durban was injured for part of the season and still played in 105 games, including the Arizona Fall League, and had 58 stolen bases. He's a great baserunner. And although Rice struggled with the Yankees, he still hit a combined 31 home runs overall. He's a lefty bat with pop.
Holmes, Torres, Rizzo, & Tommy are likely gone for sure! Players I would personally try to unload during the offseason is DJLM & Stroman DJLM is a 36 year old who is likely going to continue to regress & Stroman was not used at all in the postseason for a good reason. Regardless on the Soto situation. The Yankees will need to find a way to shed some more salary
Dugie would have been perfect if only he hit his career numbers, but we can't have another .230 hitter in the lineup with 1B 2B so weak at the plate. We won 94 games with 3 weak bats
- Rizzo - you say his best days are done. I said that before the Yankees signed him. And it was this channel predicting Rizzo would have beaucoup RBIs because he would be batting behind Soto-Judge. -Verdugo -average player, never wanted him, didn't need him. Judge-Grisham-Soto was a better OF -Holmes - nothing wrong with him. -Baby Bombers who never won the WS" lol Don't forget, Judge is #1 on that list. -Short Porch - do any of you realize they took out the porch 50 years ago?
i rather Kahnle walk and bring back Tim Hill i know Kahnle was good in the season. but i feel we need a lefty over a righty in that pen we don't have enough of those we're too right handed in the pen.
besides Torres defense he still provides value from an offensive standpoint in the playoffs he was great. maybe we bring him back if he can work on his defense and base running but maybe it's best both sides move on.
Need to move on. What we learned in the World Series is that our lack of fundamentals was a killer. We need players who can play the game. By that I mean defense and base-running.
Interesting no one making these videos has added Soto to the list of "not returning". I don't see Cohen going less than $625 mil and Cashman won't go that high
Gleyber Torres, what a frustrating player. Like c’mon man give your best effort consistently please. Unfortunately he is probably the best available second baseman via free agency. Jazz did a good job playing 3rd and if you move him to 2nd the search for a 3rd baseman won’t be easy because that market is pretty thin as well. After his performance this season I don’t think Torres can command big money, he will be fairly cheap by baseball standards. Keep Jazz at third, sign Torres for second and shop for a first baseman. Jason Dominguez plays left. With this scenario Cashman only has to fill 2 positions, first base and right field. He can spend more time solidifying the pitching staff

Thank u sOTo get lost dont come back yr the worst free agent ever to negotiate with one hit wonder 🧐 Yankees have plenty of high power ‼️ I don't like the dodgers but if u noticed their pitching staff made u look like a fool buddy so go on pitching is the name of the game / Stanton could carry the team in the playoffs outright he was the MVP in the ALDS u remember Soto it wasn't u/ take a walk please 🙏 am going to forget u were ever a Yankee / one hit wonder 🧐👍🤫✌️
Ryan, I agree with you 💯. The only minciqual difference would be to keep Holmes as a 6 - 7 pitcher. However, he is going to ask for too much, especially if the Yanks want him to pitch the 6th and 7th innings. So, if that is the case, I would say that is a no signing. Keep up the great work my friend!
@firesideyankees unfortunately Ryan, asyou know, the money is most likely wanting is going to be too much for a set up guy. The stat you mention about Holmes being an above MLB average strikeout guy seems hard to believe. I watch most of the games, and he doesn't seem to strike many guys out, which for a relief pitcher (especially set-up and closers) is essential. Stats sometimes are a bit misleading.

If the Yankees have to "reduce" anything to get Soto, they should consider another direction. They only won 94 games with him.

Only 94 games? That's a good season in the 2024 AL East

ORIGINAL IDEA GUYS!
came here for the clickbait stayed for the actual list
Bring back Kahnle, we signed him twice, he put up great seasons both times, he pitches well in Yankee stadium.
Holmes, Torres, Rizzo, & Tommy are likely gone for sure!

About DJ, that's the same thing I said about him four years, except for the 36. No one agreed.
@@Malcolm.Y I Agree...DJL Is Dun...He Will Become The Next Donaldson Or Hicks....OMG Crashman
@@Rocco-c5f It's only agreeing with me, if you agree he was done after the 2020 season, and no one agreed. Everyone has figured it out NOW.
Soto in the thumbnail 🤦♂️🤬.
😂
Soto won't be a Yankee either.... Cohen will give him more than what Hal can stomach
Dugie would have been perfect if only he hit his career numbers, but we can't have another .230 hitter in the lineup with 1B 2B so weak at the plate. We won 94 games with 3 weak bats
Get rid of soto. Nobody is worth that much money. They lost with him and they can lose without him. There should be a cap on what players can make.
They don't have to get rid of him. He is already gone. This is all about begging him to come back.
Make Soto thier highest offer, take it or leave it. The longer the Yankees wait, the less options on free agents.

I think he’s still a good player. I just think the Yankees will move on.

he’s gonna want 15-20 million a year not worth it imo

Why u guys put soto on the thumbnail like that? Not cool bro.
Poke music intro nice touch
I would unload Stroman, that was a bad signing
Maybe, but who is going to cover 154 innings with an average ERA or better? Maybe Cole can pick up half of those.
Yall fired
Your sound wasn't good Ryan. Sounds like you are 10 feet away from your microphone.
Somehow this is also the list of the players the Yankees are 100% going to bring back … 😂😂

He blew more saves than any pitcher in MLB this season
