They''re heated - or should be .
Had one for decades, and kept the heater at a nice warm temperature. Was great with one person, but the second made it too firm for my taste. They have workarounds for that now.

When I was young, I had a waterbed for a time. My friends loved jumping and rolling on it. Eventually I decided I didn't like it, so we put a regular mattress in the frame. One day one of my friends and I were walking down the hall towards my room, when suddenly my friend took off, running into my room. I hurried to the room door just in time to see them leap onto the bed, and promptly bounce off the other side. They peered at me over the bed and cried "WHAT HAPPENED?" I burst out laughing and said "I don't have a waterbed anymore. Sorry." It took me a long time to stop laughing.

@@mlmielke LOL, no. It was really because I am such a restless sleeper, I'd move and wake myself up...surprised I never had a Tsunami on that bed!

The best bed I have ever had is my water bed. My wife and I purchased one five years ago. It rocks. I highly recommend them.

You have to set them up right though, otherwise, you get sloshing.
I remember my parents water bed form when I was a little kid. It was absolutely uncomfortable as hell lol. That’s probably why they got rid of it for a regular bed.

I most like the Japanese book bed - as for myself though, I have a queen sized bed, which I share with my beloved Paddington, Edward, Pandy, Dafyd, Polie, Tara, Daddy and my other 40 in total, teddy bears - I’m 53, live alone and I’ve always had teddy bears as a child - I even travel with a big teddy bear (since I’ve got no hunky muscle man, boyfriend or husband to cuddle with 😂)

@@veteranbroad8802 I could not survive without my teddy bears, they are my best friends and I talk to them all the time - I certainly don’t want to “wake up” and throw them out, no way would I ever dream of doing so - ever faithful Welsh friend Dafyd & Polie mind my phone while I sleep and my handsome Paddington & I sleep cheek-to-cheek cuddled up together, he’s my rock - Paddington may be an English teddy bear, but he’s found a loving Irish home after I paid his ransom from the supermarket shelves and we have been together a long time, he’s even come home to Ireland with me on visits to my family, same story with my Edward Bear, where we met his best friend Pandy Bear on the ferry - I met Tara on a visit home to Ireland and he minds my dressing gown while I sleep, along with his friend, little Daddy Bear 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Except for the fact that the pieces of wood that jut out to form the nest will hurt like hell when you crack your shin against them.
I don't like sleeping on my back because every time I do, it seems like I get sleep paralysis. I could not imagine being stuck on my back in that star position in the middle of a sleep paralysis episode.
That would be utterly terrifying, but absolutely hilarious from the perspective of a sleep paralyses demon seeing someone spread eagle and terrified
I always sleep on my left side, sometimes my right. NEVER my back otherwise I get the ✨️HoLy LuMpY dAnCiNg ChA cHaS✨️ (also known as diarrhea but worse) the right side is if I can't sleep🎉

The memory foam mattreses in our local hospital and they are nice .
Futons , which can be rolled up , or adapted to fit a foldable frame which makes chairs and sofas , depending on bed size , can also make like a chase-lounge - day bed .
Whhhatt? You mean they threw out them old raggedy beds that allowed no comfort at all?😂 I’d be more exhausted when I left the hospital than feeling rejuvenated. My local hospital is too cheap for that, but not with their costs of hospital stays.

Trees are renewable but there is so much processing that goes into cardboard and it's so easy to wreak cardboard it does not seem like a good trade off

I love the nest bed but I adore my swish as DeRucci bed. Totally worth every penny, I get great sleep.

Another problem with the cardboard bed is the weight it supports. As you said, it only supports around 220 lbs. Most adults are more heavy than that, myself included. I'd like to try one of these beds but being almost 100 lbs heavier than its limit, I'd crush it :(
And on top of that, one must take into account peak stress loads (or however that should be worded). If you flop onto it a little too enthusiastically, you may apply enough momentary force to exceed the weight limit and end up crushing your bed.
He didn’t even consider having 2 people in a cardboard bed. I weigh 116lbs, single + future husband = destroy it! 😂

I love the idea of having a bed that can be zipped, to bad its not a real thing
They have sleeping bags that zip together to make a double bed, and they have tie-in sheets that can be laundered. Only problem is having to unsip a side for bathroom breaks if you are in a hurry.

There really is cardboard furniture, and it does really work well. You can coat cardboard with waterproof material. IDK if any of the cardboard furniture producers have done that, but I would think if it's got color on it that may be also waterproof or resistant? Anyway, it's very a very good idea and I wish It were more popular and available and less expensive.

The previous house we rented had a Recluse problem from the attic.
The ‘one side’ bed is no good… it’s important to roll over left to right once or twice before sleep as this is your body’s natural way of realigning all your organs.
It's an unbelievably stupid idea in the first place but he actually managed to get the thing made. That's sad.

How do you sleep I sleep on one side in a curl position with my face on a side not facing up.
I don’t think I would have a cardboard bed… it would probably be extremely uncomfortable. Plus, cardboard is REALLY flammable, and you can’t put it near water, which is not good for me since I usually put water near my bed to drink if I get thirsty.

so when i moved out in 2000 i dont even remember how i got it but i had a waterbed for a year or so and that thing was awesome i kinda wish i had one now.
One side only is a lifestyle. The feeling of being close to the edge and being in a comfortable position is so yesssss
Don't forget the octuple king. Biggest bed in Vegas. Easily sleeps two dozen adults. If the phone rings and I'm on the other side, I can't get to it. There's no way.
