Yeah man more importantly glad hes getting healthy again. He still aint a hundred percent, bro I dont even know how he gets around as good as he does and dont complain of pain all the time! God makes people tough in New Jersey I guess 🤣🤣!
Can't wait to see the next round of racing the Allan spec 38. The extended chassis looks sweet, and the tap and drill bit is new to me and makes life easy.
Thanka brother!! Yeah Im excited, those drill n taps are okay with aluminum I guess, i have broke one in steel doing just what I did here 😂, probably best to pre-drill steel and aluminum felt okay, the bit never felt like it was being put under a bind , it was cutting nice as it went through greasing up the tap threads.
Thank you bro, this truck was very very dusty but I clean all my rcs really well after each day of running so they always look like I never use them but I run the crap out of them when I do lol. sometimes they get so dirty I just take the whole car apart and hand wash all the parts and put it all back together. I have familiarized myself so much with this platform it is second nature to me and my favorite to build and work on next to them MCDs they just are not affordable like the baja. It will always be the greatest 1/5 in my opinion! I have a real passion for it lol! Keep Lifting brother shout out from VA
Heck yeah!! They seem nice for aluminum to drill right through but in steel they break off as I have broken one. Oiled or greased aluminum felt fine to me.
Love it!! Brap mom Marion is so supportive! You can hear her helping out. So nice brother. Also the buggy running nice!! 👍🏽 38cc 30degree north sounds nice too. Cheers man.
Thank you Luis and you know I how I feel about moms! She has been the most supportive for everything Ive wanted to do GOOD of course hahahaha she is the best! I couldn't do this without her. She also never lets me miss a comment haha! I hope you had a blessed Thanksgiving bro
And yes bro the 38 is a wonderful cheap engine to just beat on, for Chinese its made of very high quality materials, for instance one is its nikisil plated on the inside of the cylinder rather than chromed, a much better and stronger surface to succumb wear!
Thanks mom hahahah and thanks for my early gift too, Ive been using them like crazy, they are fully mobile work stations, I can't thank y'all enough for them. They will be so handy at the races !
Man, I broke so many of those drill Taps off. No lie I was cringing when you were doing it lol. I always just drill and then tap separately by hand now.😊 but but we all have to find our own way and whatever works best. Thanks for posting the video. 👍
😂😂😂 yes I tried one in steel and snapski! This aluminum is soft , though grabby the grease helps. But they are not much for strength, I was going easy with it and not using hardly any pressure. I snapped the small 4mm one though oops! It was totally my fault not pre drilling the steel and he maned it 🤣! They make more everyday !! Its all good! Thanks for watching sorry to make you cringe 😬
@eastsiderc yeah I use the 1/4-20 drill/tap at work a lot when I thread in door closers at work. I usually have pretty good luck with them. You have to be super steady with your arm and your modulation on the drill. But I can usually get them to last quite a long time. But a drill tap smaller than that, like a 4 mm, they are so delicate! But yes aluminum is the best cuz it's softer than steel 100%
Well thank you brother! I certainly dont know it, but I have filled my brain with all kinds of mechanical knowledge so I intend to share that in hopes it helps others enjoy this hobby to the fullest! I hope have a super blessed and awesome week bro! 🙏🤝🔧🛠️
Omg! I dont know if people remember back in the old days when bajas were just starting they use to make these extended baja to drag with! I remember videos when they use to drag these kind of bajas in the sand dunes straight up a hill! And those baja would shoot like a rocket up those sand dune hills. At that time they only had the highest 30.5 and just ported! They were fast and only ported with like a ddm exhaust! Cant wait to see this i always wanted to build one of these. I think it was called dubai rc !
Very cool, I was debating putting my 30.5 in this new build but Allen an I decided a built to the hilt 38 would be better. I would love to take a car in the Sand dunes. That would be a blast. Thanks for watching Bro.
You got it on your channel I can check it out? I cant pull your channel up from this side of youtube I have to go to RUclips to this vid and I can search from there if you got some vids on it brotha!
This isn't the subject you were on in the video but I'm getting my first 1/5 scale im stoked it will be the kraken vesla you and a couple other people I follow crucial RC you might have mentioned him on your channel but you guys talk highly about 50 to 1 ratio I have the opportunity to get VP 50 to 1 racing fuel if I use it is tuning easier then nitro that's what I'm use to
Tuning is easy yes however you cannot make carb adjustments like you do with nitro. I suggest you watch my videos on carburetors. I have a few. They have been very helpful to many and will show you how to adjust those carbs. Its not hard at all. And dont worry about being on topic. Im here to help ask me what ever share what ever you like in any video! I just appreciate your support to the channel! Congratulations on your new 1/5th. And yes I like Lance but did not know he also uses 50:1, maybe he started using it from me 🤷♂️ that would be awesome! Tuning with 25:1 sucks! Its so hard to get a good clean tune with all that oil in the way!! Stick with 50:1 that will make tuning much easier and broader on the needle spectrum. Also do not idle ur engine to break it in , two strokes are not fond of a lot of idling, warm it up have fun with it get a good tune on it and beat the snot out of it. The faster you seat the ring the happier the engine will always be!
Off-road dragster build! Nice! I like that drill bit 👍👍
flawless work man
Thank you bro! Hope you are enjoying the weekend!
It's nothing like being in the lab creating the next ripper 💪🏻👍🏼✅️
Yessir up in the Lab! Its a good place to be on a 21 degree night ! 🥶
Very nice brother. Glad Allan is building you engines again.
