- President Kovind presents Shaurya Chakra to Havildar Kashiray Bammanalli, Corps of Engineers, 44th Battalion, Rashtriya Rifles (posthumous). He displayed indomitable spirit & exceptional bravery in elimination of terrorists, saving lives of team members and made supreme sacrifice

President himself reaches to his/her guardian or whoever is receiving award on his behalf.

Yes It's rule if the age of the receiver is more than president then the president has to walk and come and award the person

But if the award is received by anyone other than the recipient himself then President will walk himself irrespective of the age

Bro check out president awarding shaurya chakra to captain ashutosh kumar of Madras regiment. He died so young that the president himself walked up to parents.
That is the standard protocol when Gallantry awards are conferred concerned posthumously. It has been happening since long.
Have you ever seen these ceremonies before? It's a protocol, for posthumans awards, president walks up to the award recipient families. Yes, it's a great gesture but it's not something happening for first time.

She is so proud of her son's bravery but still grieving over her son's loss. So its not just a soldier who is sacrificing for the nation, its his entire family!!
It takes extreme courage to raise a son and then see him go to a point of no return in the wink of an eye. She stood by her son's decision to be in the army when she could have easily persuaded him to leave it despite of knowing how his life in the army might end. Now that kind of a will power is way beyond what ordinary people can even imagine....
