It is one of the great rivers of the world, yet apart from the Victoria Falls most of is virtually unknown to the world - it is the Zambezi. And the full story of its journey and the life that the river controls through its seasons of flood and drought has never been fully told.
ZAMBEZI is a visually stunning two part series that follows the river from its headwaters to its delta. Through the seasons and both the wildlife as well as human cultures the films tell the story of the Zambezi through the times of rain and plenty to the dry months when its waters are the only source of life for everything.

This is the yambeshi river and not the name the imperialist British illegally misappropriated it's name.this ancient river begins in North West Zambia where the Lunda tribe hail from and are the ones who named it yambeshi.it is the same with mosi-oa-tunya falls in Livingstone,again the British imperialists falsely named it after a queen who wasn't even from Zambia(Victoria falls) what an insult to the black African indigenous population and our pride as a people.how would the British feel if I named Herefordshire in England as Harare instead? They would be up in arms about it,and so they should.what a patronising and arrogant to impose yourself upon others...I blame our leaders for not changing the names back to their real and proper names.
