This sprawling mansion on a cliff overlooking Huntsville, Arkansas was built for Governor Orval Faubus by E. Fay Jones, the celebrated architect best known for the Thorncrown Chapel in Eureka Springs. The Faubus House demonstrates the power and appeal of organic architecture in the hands of a true master.

I grew up just about 1/4 mile south along this bluff. My grandparents had a house built around a small pond and it set right against this very bluff line.
