Exploring Antigua: Convents, Cathedrals, and a Hazy Viewpoint

In this vlog, we head back into the beautiful city of Antigua for another day of exploration. This time, we leave Pomme the dog at home so we can visit a few places we’ve been wanting to see. Despite some unexpected closures, we make the most of our day, exploring a stunning convent and the ruins of an old cathedral. The architecture and history of these places are absolutely fascinating, and we love soaking up the unique atmosphere of Antigua.
I also get a chance to fly my drone for a new perspective over the city, capturing some amazing aerial footage. Although the haze doesn’t give us the clearest views, the charm of Antigua shines through in every shot. Later, Alex, Pomme, and I take a walk up to the famous viewpoint overlooking the city. Unfortunately, the haze sticks around, so the view isn’t as spectacular as we’d hoped, but it’s still a great spot to appreciate the city’s layout and surrounding mountains. We’ve already decided to come back on a clearer day to fully enjoy the scenery.
To wrap up our day, we dive into the local food scene, enjoying some delicious Guatemalan dishes that never disappoint. Antigua continues to captivate us with its charm and character, and we’re excited to share more of its beauty and culture in the upcoming videos.
