The MMA community is just too dumb to realize. Y'all letting the UFC decide for you. Ngannou knocked out Overeem, that is a KO, not swarming an already downed opponent.

What you described is a TKO. A technical 'knockout". Basically when an opponent is overwhelmed and is deemed to be "unintelligently defending oneself." In which case, the referee must intervene to stop the match and prevent any additional harm to the overwhelmed opponent...ie, Paulo Costa, Derek Brunson, etc. As for this fight, Israel indeed knocked out (KO'd) Robert Whittaker. A Knockout is putting an opponent into a state of unconsciousness, even if only for a second or two, that leaves the opponent unable to physically defend him or herself.
