I just created my first pool, using a shared iSCSI volume. Also tried some VM migration back and forth .. Worked beautifully. Thanks for your sharing of knowledge.

Hi Tom , Thanks again for the cool vid , this week-end I did some major testing between the differences on the upgrades from XCP 7.5 TO 7.6 , then a clean installation , with recovery of Vm's and upgrading of Xen orchestra and then a clean install - my findings have been very interesting ito (In terms of ) compatibility and behavior issues , monitored data transfers with pfsense , I found XO 5.28 more stable with less features , and upgrade to XO 5.31 with a yarn rebuild , resulted in time outs and browser issues , vms start loading and get dropped along the way , now I have done a fresh manual rebuild of XO 5.31 and it seems a lot more stable when importing my VM's ..... for me it is stability and compatibility backward and forward , same testing I have been doing with invoice ninja 4.5.5 and 4.5.6 aswell as DB integration installed https messing about in the config files etc , even if it is a home setup it needs to work .... anyways Tom Thanks a bunch , deeply appreciated !!!

    Hi Lawrence,
Excellent tutorial, hope its not silly question, becuase I'm new to Xenserver and moving away from VMWare, Would it possible to pool hosts servers from different data center with same hardware configuration? Is it possible to migrate VM from one host to another from different data center without having in pool?
    Thanks,
    Riz

How can I delete a pool but the related host to that pool move to another pool?

You remove a host form a pool then it can be brought into another pool.

      Hello,
I currently have four Dell servers (R710, R720, R730, R740) and I have installed xcp-ng on all of them. As a result, I now have four pools and four hosts. However, I would like to delete three of the pools and have all four servers (hosts) in one pool. Could you please guide me on how to accomplish this task? Thank you in advance.@@LAWRENCESYSTEMS

+1 on the other comment.. PLEASE make a proxmox vs xen video :)
i just bought a r710 for home and i need to run some windows VMs on this with USB passthrough of specific devices to specific VMs. Also all of them need to communicate with a MariaDB on the machine and network storage at preferably high speeds. Most likely i want to migrate the windows VMs to Docker later when i learned more about how all of that works.
Which of the freely available Hypervisors would you recommend to start with?
