Thank you, thank you, thank you, from the land of Australia. I have an aer compact 60w mobile bought in 2020 during covid. I was charging it up tonight in FNQ during a thunderstorm, and it stopped charging suddenly and the lights went out on it. I checked the switchboard and it had over loaded and turned my circuit board off. So I flipped the switch up and it seemed to be OK. But when I plugged the aer back in and proceeded to charge it, there was nothing. I did however remember That I smelt something when it initially stopped. I thought I would have to find an aer agent and put it in for repairs. But I thought I might look on youtube as it is night here and found your video. When you showed the fuses at the back of the unit, I thought maybe that is what went on my unit. So I grabbed it, found where the fuses were and yes one was burnt out. I saw there was a spare one there. When I replaced that I plugged ii in and wham, it cranked up again. So thank you so much from crocodile country in cairns, far north Queensland. Muchos gracias amigo. 😂
Interesting video. For myself, I try several external power units. The problem is that they generates bad noises into the amps. The best result ( but not perfect) was Bluetti unit. This occurs particulary with single coils pick-ups (telecaster for example). But for charging AER mobile, it's a nice solution. Best regards. Jean
Hi, I have a Compact Mobile 2. Can you please recommend a specific replacement battery. My understanding is the should be 6v 12aH sla. Also I don’t understand the f1 and f2 connector type. Which one do I need? Also, should I buy something that says it is deep cycle?😊
Only a few weeks after having the batteries in my Aer CM1 replaced by an expert amp technician (who did his research), I have lost all power, even when plugged into mains...? Fuse looks fine? Please help Aer guitar community - I once loved this amp!! Thank you!
I took the batteries out , and took the two wires, the positive and negative. Drilled a hole in the back . And then installed a typical guitar pedal Jack. So I have the batteries outside of the amp and it’s not so heavy so when I don’t need the batteries. I charged them with a normal cheap car charger. It takes about one hour for each battery-when there drained , Also, you can charge it the normal way. Makes a big difference. The thing is super heavy with the battery, but without them it’s manageable. . Buy a daisy chain guitar pedal cable. And cut them up. You have enough for three or four batteries. And I use a 12v 12ah battery. Last about 2 hours .
I am reliably informed by an experienced AER technician that the reason these blow fuses is a batch of poor quality AC filter installed by the factory. Bypass it or change it for a better quality filter. Thanks for your video!
I just changed my batteries from my AER Compact Mobile 2, to 2x 6V 15 Ah. I fully charge, I go busking and my battery runs out after 1 hour or so. I dont get it. This AER dissapoints me, I just got it from someone and changed the old batteries, should last long but it doesnt. Some help?
Thank you for this. Ive been using it for many years without any issues. Today my external battery is not working anymore and Im pretty that the problem is the Amp. Do you have any troubleshooting experience with that?
Love this video! Thank you! I need to replace my batteries on my Compact Mobile and was wondering which terminal I should get, F1, or the F2? Thank you!
Hello! Great video! I have a question. Does your Aer Compact Mobile gets really hot at the back when it is charging? Because my Aer Compact Mobile 2 does and I wonder is it normal or not. Thank you for the response in advance!
Hi Scotti. Thanks for the video.Interesting.I’m thinking between the “mobile”and the compact +power station….I have read about hum noises with power stations and guitar amp’s.How is your experience feeding the compact with the ecoflow power station?Probably pure sine wave? Thanks a lot.
The EcoFlow delta does have fan noise, but its not something I have ever noticed whilst busking. I suppose if you were on a very quiet stage it might be a problem...but you could always move the EcoFlow delta far back. Mike
that's the best video i found about battery and aer, impressive, thanks, i'm actually facing high noise/ hum from an external power battery and a aer 60 , can't figure out the reason why , does anyone have a clue? @@scottitonline
Wonder why it says Compact Mobile in front, but says "Compact Mobile 2" on the back. There is actually a Compact Mobile 2 that looks different than this one, with the "Compact Mobile 2" in front and in an oval plaque, instead.
Hi - apologies for the delay in replying I've only just seen your comment. Hmmm that is strange. I wonder if they are all like that...or whether someone at some stage has replaced this part? Mike

thanks for talking about the ef delta. I already have a few AER amps, so that would work very well for me.
Thanks for your comment - shame that AER dont team up with EcoFlow to make a light weight super fast charging amp. That would be cool! Mike

Does yours also say Compact Mobile 2 in the back?
The amp featured in this video says Compact Mobile on the back (not Compact Mobile 2) Mike @@reydelagarza2953

Yes, my amp does (did) get super hot when charging. I must confess, I haven't put my hand on the back since changing the batteries. Mike

Thanks for you kind words. What external battery are you using? Mike@@mralboh
@@scottitonline I tried an Ecoflow River 2 and a egretech
Did you get a hum form the amp when you were using a River 2? Maybe send me a video of the noise? m_scott65@hotmail.com@@mralboh
