Good rule of thumb is that you don’t want to break up balls when those balls will head toward balls that are already open. Just before 12:56 you had ball in hand, made the ball and your breakout but tied up 2 of the open balls. A fan

Yeah that makes sense! With BIH, how would you have played it to open the 2&8? Thanks for the comment!

Maybe start with the 6 because it blocks the 1 and go from there. Still balls around to break it out

@@davegreen1104 but same concept. Breakout the 2-8 and they head towards the other side with open balls. I think it’s more of a speed issue more than pattern.

He made an awesome shot on that 8 ball for his first win. No defense against great shots! Hey about it being Sunday and wanting a nap, you young fellows find some other hobby! The naps are taken by us old guys! Lol

@@Poolside_Chat yeah okay, you definitely deserve a nap or two keeping all that going. I do enjoy your videos so thanks for doing them.

jerame is a good shooter more like a 5 close to a 6 and his position is not to shabby either

@@DonrCoop I think he’s a seriously good shot making 4. How he sees the table, how he sees safeties (or lack there of)… just feels like a 4 to me. If I was going to really break it down, I’d say he plays the game like a 3 but pots balls like a 5. Has a feel like “ok, what can I make now” instead of working on leave. Now he might have a plan but just hasn’t spent time on his speed control possibly.

Never played in a league but seems unfair to someone needing to win 5 games as opposed to 2.

@@yorkvillecharlie that’s part of how handicap systems work. Depending on your rating, you will have a race. Some leagues like BCA are single rack format so it’s just winner wins. But in a race, if it was even (say race to 5), you’d be hard pressed to keep people playing the game knowing some higher skilled players will just roll you over. Not everyone has the desire to get better and want to still compete.

Jerame shoots like he's a SL5 and Todd shoots like a SL5.5...because if it was a race both had to shoot to 5 Todd probably still of won...Todd, u need to take more time to think out your shots to hit your balls in and set up the cue for your next shot ALOT more

@@moviesclassics1970 I’ll take this to my league operator and see if he can move me down. But I’d think there would be more than a half skill level gap between him and I. Guess I’m giving too much credit for fundamentals, pattern play and ball control.
So my speed of thought and play is degrading me that much? Do you watch much professional pool?
