The varieties of narcissus I got from you years ago are still doing awesome. I started with around 25 bulbs and I have a 4ft square dedicated to them in my garden.

First thing I would do is collect a bunch and see what performs and survives.

I'm really enamoured with the idea of breeding and cultivating your own varieties of certain plants, it's super cool to me but I have no idea what I would want to consistently grow even if I did have the space. I like the idea of attempting to domesticate varieties of edible weeds but I feel like it would be really difficult and incredibly slow going, perhaps if I was immortal.

There are many plants that are semi domesticated that could use work. If you think of it as only about whether you get it done, you'll never start. Someone had to start for us to get this far.

Have you ever thought of putting together a course?
Maybe something like what Akiva does over at twisted tree but something you could record a single time to sell multiple times.
Basically an eproduct. I know if it were the right price I’d pay money to watch you take me through a year of apple, daffodil, leek, and bunching onion breeding and the schedule for which things need done.
Plus whatever else you like to play around with in the garden.
I think it would make you some money to help fund the property of your dreams.
You have what? 95k subs on here? If 1% buy a $250 eproduct year to year, that’s >$230,000 to be made in a very non sleazy way, just make three or four shoutouts in your videos the weeks leading up it going live.
I love your stuff. Just a thought.
I know you’re saving up for the right property and something like this would essentially fund the rest of your life and open you up to be able to mess around more.
Either way just an idea my friend. Happy growing.

I have not really thought of it for this, but for other things. it is sort of on the list lol. I did start writing a book on apple breeding. Most of it is probably written. Actually finishing it and getting it published is another thing. I like the idea of courses though. a video is worth a million words

@@SkillCult and there are courses for how to make courses lol definitely worth a thought. I know for sure I’d be willing to buy the book and the course. Thanks for all you do. You’re an inspiration.

Huh. I think the daffodils I have must be sterile? I never see voluptuous pods like that.

They may not be. they rarely produce seed here unless intentionally pollinated. some varieties do, but most don't.
